We recently connected with Grace Noel and have shared our conversation below.
Grace, sincerely appreciate your selflessness in agreeing to discuss your mental health journey and how you overcame and persisted despite the challenges. Please share with our readers how you overcame. For readers, please note this is not medical advice, we are not doctors, you should always consult professionals for advice and that this is merely one person sharing their story and experience.
I’ve learned to persist by recognizing that growth is ongoing and that I can always learn healthier ways to care for myself. Through therapy, I’ve expanded my toolbox with practical strategies to navigate challenges rather than avoid them. I lean on a supportive community, remain open to change, and ground myself in my faith, which provides me with perspective and resilience during difficult times. Together, these have helped me not just push through challenges, but grow through them.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I’m the owner & founder of Grace Avery Designs, a branding, web design, photography, and social media creative studio rooted in storytelling and connection. I help small businesses, creatives, and purpose-driven brands show up online in a way that feels aligned, confident, and human. What excites me most is helping people translate who they are into visuals and messaging that actually feel like home to them, not just something that looks trendy!
Beyond design work, I’m deeply passionate about community building. Through my work and creative projects, I focus on creating spaces, both online and in person, where people feel seen, supported, and encouraged to grow. I believe branding is more than aesthetics. It’s about clarity, trust, and connection.
Currently, I’m focused on refining my services, expanding my creative offerings, and embracing projects that align with faith, creativity, and meaningful impact. I’m also continuing to grow community-centered events and collaborations, which has been one of the most fulfilling parts of my work. My goal is to keep building work that feels intentional, sustainable, and rooted in purpose.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Self-awareness has helped me understand my strengths, limits, and what I actually need to thrive. Therapy, reflection, and honest self-check-ins taught me how to listen to myself instead of pushing through burnout. My advice for those early in their journey is to slow down enough to learn how you operate. Growth comes faster when you’re building in alignment with who you are.
Adaptability has been essential because no season looks the same. I’ve learned to stay open to change, pivot when something isn’t working, and trust that evolving doesn’t mean failing. For beginners, I’d say don’t get too attached to a single version of success. Treat every shift as data, not defeat.
Community has been the anchor. Having people who support you, challenge you, and remind you who you are when things get hard makes all the difference. My advice is to invest in relationships early. Seek mentors, collaborators, and friends who genuinely want to see you grow, and be willing to ask for help.

How would you describe your ideal client?
My ideal client is someone who values authenticity and sees branding as an investment in connection, not just aesthetics. They’re collaborative, open-minded, and grounded in purpose, whether they’re building a business, creative platform, or community. I work best with people who trust the process, communicate openly, and want their brand to grow in a way that feels aligned and sustainable.
