Meet Robert Lampkins

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Robert Lampkins a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Robert with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

I got my work ethic from my grandparents. My granddad’s was always working, and my grandmas was always working on both sides of the family. So that made me wanna strive to be a better person by watching them growing up and picking up some of there qualities.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I’m Stonelinium one half of Trellinium artist signed to USS Unique sounds of soul record label. First let me explain Trellinium.
TRELLINIUM is a dynamic hip hop duo emerging from the heart of North Carolina’s underground scene. Blending sharp lyricism, raw storytelling, and infectious energy, the group delivers music that reflects both the struggles and triumphs of real life. With roots in authentic hip hop culture, TRELLINIUM balances hard-hitting bars with versatile flows that resonate across generations.

Backed by Unique Sounds of Soul, TRELLINIUM has been developing their craft under the mentorship of Mandinka “Many Voices” Watson. Beyond the music, their image and artistry are shaped through strong creative direction, from fashion to visuals, ensuring TRELLINIUM stands out as a complete package. Their drive, originality, and undeniable chemistry make them one of the most promising new acts to watch. We are focused on taking our careers to the next level whether it be artistic or just developing as a person. We have been performing around North Carolina doing a lot of shows a lot of promotion for the upcoming underground scene in North Carolina. Most notable our shows with ED E Ruger who is a powerful name in the North Carolina and around the world music scene as well as just being a figure for other artist. Having a platform for them to showcase there art.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Knowledge having the knowledge to learn everyday and not withhold any knowledge that’s giving to me pertaining to music or just developing overall as an artist. Developing patience knowing things take time to develop taking constructive criticism and learning from that knowing that we still have room for learning. Skills I’ve picked up are from learning from mistakes being able to adjust learning the business part of music. What I would tell the younger folks striving to be better in their craft is not to overthink your mind take your time let your mind and dreams drive you. Don’t be scared to invest in yourself u are your product
