Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Roberto Baldea. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Roberto, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
I think it comes from looking at others, I had a friend in CEGEP (sort of pre-uni equivalent here in Quebec), who managed to be the student president, get involved in clubs, attend every class, be super sociable, and overall just being a great person and I found her so inspirational. Through her I understood that the way to get the most out of your life is just by doing the most amount of things possible, because you’ll figure out how to manage things along the way. Taking action is the most important thing. She really had an impact on my character, I went from being 99% school focused, to now in uni being a content creator, photographer, VP Marketing of a club, attend my classes and have a social life. She was right, if you take action, you’ll figure it out along the way.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am a content creator and racing Photographer and I love sharing my life, trying to balance uni, being a photographer and content creation, while also sharing my passion for Formula 1, and fashion (especially in the motorsport space), which is a flourishing intersection in the world right now.
For photography I’ve covered the Coupe de Montreal, a karting competition around montreal for the past couple of years and have thoroughly enjoyed it, I’ve also covered Nascar Canada events and Indycar which has been my first out of province opportunity and looking forward to expand past Canada!
For content creation I’ve positioned myself at the intersection of racing, fashion, and photography which helps stand out in a world where there’s more and more content creators. The most exciting thing about all of this is meeting people from different places in the world and being able to exchange about experiences, tips, tricks, their opinions and just getting to know them, I think there is nothing in my life that widened my vision of the world than getting to meet other creative driven, hard working, hyper interesting people!!
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Showing up, being consistent and not giving up are important qualities that are extremely underrated in my opinion. You might not be the best at something but you might be chosen because you are the most convenient and the nicest person to work with, and through those experiences you’ll get better at your main objective.

Do you think it’s better to go all in on our strengths or to try to be more well-rounded by investing effort on improving areas you aren’t as strong in?
If you know Sylvia Plath’s fig three analogy, her main character crumbles under the pressure of choosing which path to go through because she thinks that by picking one she’ll have to sacrifice all the others, and she ends up not being able to choose and letting all her figs die. Well I don’t believe you have to only pick one, picking multiple areas of work/interest won’t mean you’ll drop them all “while juggling”, you’ll simply juggle slower than someone with only one or two areas of interests. But as you grow as a person you’ll become better at each of those areas and you’ll be able to transfer skills from one area to another.
For example, I am into racing, photography and fashion, and back in 2023 I made a hoodie with the Parc Ferme round and round in circles brand and the reason why it was a success was because I had such a deep knowledge in racing, and because I was doing racing photographer that I knew how to make a fashion piece that would look great but be extremely relevant to my audience that I fostered on social media at the same time. Every area I was working on culminated in intermingling themselves to create a project that felt special in my heart!
