Meet Justin Hunter

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Justin Hunter a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Justin, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

I trace my work ethic back to the people who shaped me and the God who guides me. I grew up watching men and women who didn’t just labor with their hands but with their hearts. They taught me that excellence is not an act, it is a reflection of your character.

My faith refined that even more. I learned that when God places something in your care, you steward it with honor. You show up early. You stay late. You give your best when no one is watching. You stay faithful to the assignment even when it stretches you.

So my work ethic is really gratitude in motion. It is my way of thanking God for every opportunity and honoring the people who poured into me. That is what drives me.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

At John Mark Productions, I have the honor of creating moments where artistry, ministry, and purpose come together. What I do is deeper than planning events or coordinating music. I help build spaces where people encounter God through excellence, unity, and the beauty of acappella singing. That is what fills me with the most excitement. Watching believers discover new confidence, new clarity, and a renewed love for worship is something I never take for granted.

What makes this work special is the transformation that happens in the room. People come hungry for direction, connection, and inspiration, and they leave with a stronger voice, a stronger ministry, and a stronger sense of identity in Christ. That is the part that moves me every time.

Our brand is built on authenticity and service. We are committed to lifting the standard of worship, encouraging leaders, and strengthening the church through creativity and excellence. We believe creativity is a gift from God, and we treat it with reverence and responsibility.

There is also so much happening right now. Registration is open for the National Acappella Music Workshop, an experience that digs into every layer of worship leadership, from vocal growth to spiritual development to healthy ministry communication. Readers can register at www.cbg115.com/events. We are also expanding into new cities with regional workshops and continuing to offer production, social media, and consultation services that help churches thrive.

John Mark Productions is still growing, but it is growing with intention. Everything we build is rooted in faith, purpose, and a desire to make a lasting impact on the Kingdom. I want people to know that this is only the beginning, and I am grateful for every person who walks alongside us in this work.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

When I look back over my journey, three qualities have shaped everything. The first is humility. Staying teachable has kept me grounded and allowed me to learn from people who carried wisdom I needed. Humility reminds me that God is the source and that I am always growing.

The second is consistency. Talent may draw attention, but consistency is what sustains impact. There were seasons when the rooms were small and the work felt unnoticed, but consistency built discipline, character, and excellence. It taught me to honor the assignment even when the spotlight was not there.

The third is vision. You have to see what God is forming in you before others recognize it. Vision gave me the courage to start, the strength to keep going, and the clarity to overcome obstacles. It taught me to build with purpose rather than pressure.

Another lesson I learned along the way is to ignore the voices that doubt, discredit, or misunderstand you. The presence of resistance is often a sign that you are moving in the right direction. When you are growing, shifting, and aligning with purpose, not everyone will celebrate it. That is okay. Your calling does not require universal approval.

For those who are early in their journey, protect your humility by staying hungry to learn. Strengthen your consistency by showing up even when the moment feels small. Guard your vision by staying close to God and writing down what He places in your spirit. And when critics appear, let it remind you that progress attracts pressure. Keep going.

If you grow in these areas with intention, your gift will deepen, your influence will expand, and your journey will unfold in a way that honors God and blesses others.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

Absolutely. At John Mark Productions, we are always looking to partner and collaborate with individuals, churches, and organizations that share our passion for excellence, worship, and ministry impact. We are particularly interested in connecting with worship leaders, musicians, choir directors, church leaders, event organizers, and anyone who wants to elevate the standard of worship and create meaningful experiences that draw people closer to God.

We value partners who are committed, creative, and collaborative, and who want to make a lasting impact in their communities. Whether it’s co-hosting a workshop, producing an event, providing ministry training, or consulting on creative projects, we welcome opportunities to work together.

If you are interested in collaborating, the best way to connect is through our website at www.cbg115.com/events, or you can reach out to us on social media: Facebook: @JohnMarkProductions, Instagram: @johnmarkproductions, and TikTok: @johnmarkproductions. We are excited to hear ideas, explore partnerships, and build something meaningful together.
