Meet Nesa Martinez

We recently connected with Nesa Martinez and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Nesa, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

My mentality coming into this industry is to always become the best version of myself. I didn’t need to lead, but I strive to inspire the creativity within, yet doing that alone is what gave me the ability to lead and see a new perspective into the culinary technique.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I am currently working on expanding my Menu creations. Recently opened up Intrigued Restaurant, a couple of my star dishes are Hennesy Glazed Lamb Chops, Orange Glazed Salmon Bites and a sweet savory Phillycheesesteak eggrolls. I’ve transferred to Lux Dining and hold the same menu!
A recipe book “Finnesaa” will soon be coming out with full on recipes I’ve accumulated throughout my journey in fine dining and restaurant grade culinary: As well as opening my services for Private Chef Services. Which booking will be through my Instagram : Finnesaa

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Endurance and Patience came hand in hand. During the journey of learning and getting on the line, being able to be coached is the greatest challenge.
Stay inspired and be able to inspire others! I’ve noticed how everyone should follow recipes, yet as I found myself questioning and wanting to recreate is what led to being noticed.
“Put yourself on a Plate” was my biggest push to stay inspired.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?

My parents weren’t involved as should have been, but it made me a resilient, worthy woman. The independence has taught my own worth, which in this industry my own image should shine on its own, as others!
