Meet Michelle

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Michelle. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Michelle below.

Michelle, so great to be with you and I think a lot of folks are going to benefit from hearing your story and lessons and wisdom. Imposter Syndrome is something that we know how words to describe, but it’s something that has held people back forever and so we’re really interested to hear about your story and how you overcame imposter syndrome.

I overcome imposter syndrome by reminding myself that I’m human. It’s easy to compare ourselves to others and their journeys, but real growth comes from nurturing ourselves and leading with self-compassion. As a small business owner who markets their business online, I’ve learned how important it is to stay focused on my own path rather than comparing myself to others in the same industry. The clients who align with me as a person and my business will continue to support my work.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I started my business shortly after finishing esthetician school. While I hadn’t planned on branching out so soon, the opportunity presented itself at the right time, and I trusted my instincts. What began unexpectedly turned into a clear path once I realized the impact I could make and the direction I wanted my career to take. Along the way I tried many different specialties until I fully connected with skincare and hair removal.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

didn’t have everything figured out when I began, but I trusted myself enough to take the first step. Determination and consistency are what kept me going. Sometimes life will throw challenges your way, and you have to assess how badly you want it. Every time I saw my clients get excited about their results, it motivated me even more.

The most impactful part of my business has been connecting with clients who align with my values and trust my work. Those relationships are what sustained my business and helped it grow organically.

My advice to those early in their journey is to start before you feel ready, stay consistent, and focus on building genuine relationships. Growth takes time, but consistency and trust will always pay off.

Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?

My ideal clients are people who value trust, consistency, and genuine care. They’re open to learning, patient with the process, and excited to invest in themselves. Most importantly, they appreciate a personalized experience and enjoy building a real connection rather than just coming in for a quick service.
