Whitney Goulish on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Whitney Goulish. Check out our conversation below.

Hi Whitney, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What is a normal day like for you right now?
I aim to maintain a well-rounded and productive day that supports my clients, my team, and my own well-being. I start by prioritizing the most urgent tasks for the day, tackling any recurring duties first to establish a solid foundation. Next, I make sure to connect with my clients, checking in to ensure everything is progressing smoothly and addressing any immediate needs. After that, I focus on attending to any scheduled meetings and ensure I stay aligned with my team’s goals. I make it a point to check in with them regularly, offering support and ensuring they have the resources they need to succeed.

Once the workday winds down, I focus on self-care by hitting the gym to recharge and clear my mind. Afterward, I enjoy a healthy dinner and take time to connect with my family, which is important for maintaining a healthy work-life balance. I strive to keep a strong equilibrium between my professional responsibilities and personal well-being, ensuring that both my clients and team feel supported while also nurturing my own energy and relationships.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Whitney Goulish, and I am the Founder and CEO of WG Business Enterprises, LLC. My business helps small and medium-sized companies turn challenges into opportunities for growth. We work with businesses in various industries, including entertainment, healthcare, and nonprofits, providing support at any stage to help them reach their goals.

Before starting WG Business Enterprises, I spent 10 years working in the sports industry. This experience taught me the importance of stamina, dedication, and a strong work ethic, which have shaped the way I approach business today. In sports, things usually sell themselves, but I often worked long hours to meet my goals and push myself to improve. I bring that same level of dedication to each of my clients and team members, making sure they have the support they need to grow and succeed.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
A lot of how I see the world comes from the way I was raised, the influences around me, and the values that were instilled in me growing up. My upbringing taught me that everyone has their own perspectives, and it’s important to respect those differences. I believe there’s always something to learn from others, even if we don’t always agree.

I try my best to stay present and appreciate each moment as it comes. Life moves so quickly, and whether things are exciting or frustrating, I think it’s crucial to embrace both sides and learn how to work through the challenges that come up along the way.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell my younger self to take advantage of every opportunity that comes her way. Get involved in new things, network even if it’s scary and intimidating. Take every opportunity and interaction as a chance to grow. I would also remind myself to be open to new possibilities and not to be too focused on the path I had set for myself. A great opportunity could be just above your gaze, and you’ll only notice it if you look up.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
If my closest friends were to describe what really matters to me, I think they would say that I’m deeply committed to the people I care about, whether it’s family, friends, or even clients. They’d probably mention how I value honesty, loyalty, and hard work. I don’t like to leave things half-done, and I put in the effort to follow through on my word. I think they would also say that I care a lot about growth, not just my own, but helping others grow too.

They might add that I appreciate the little moments and find joy in spending quality time with those close to me. Even in busy times, I try to make space for genuine connections. And I think they’d point out that while I work hard and am dedicated, I don’t take myself too seriously. I believe in balance, being there for people, and making sure to appreciate life as it comes.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope I leave behind good memories for people to share. Maybe there is no big legacy story, but I hope that I leave behind good memories with my family and friends, even clients if I can. I hope people remember my dedication, determination, resilience, and love for my family, friends, or the people I work with. Above all, I want to leave a legacy of love, care, and genuine connection for others to carry forward.
