Hi Jordan, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
Behind Jordan Virtual Desk, Jordan — known for his signature smile, kind demeanor, and unmistakable joy — says the work he’s most proud of isn’t always visible, bright, or glamorous.

While he and the business may appear upbeat and seamless from the outside, Jordan emphasizes that building something meaningful requires dedication, pressure, and persistence. “There’s a lot of work behind the scenes, and at times it’s stressful,” he shares. “Nothing truly great in life is simply given — it has to be earned.”

“Beyond the systems and strategy, I’ve built resilience, thick skin, and self-trust,” Jordan explains. “When your business and your persona are forward-facing, and your name is on the brand, you learn quickly that opinions and criticism come with the territory.”

Jordan notes that learning to remain grounded — without shrinking or softening his voice — has been just as important as building operational frameworks and client workflows.

“The heart of any business is a person,” he says. “And the heart of my business is ME.”

Much of the unseen work, Jordan adds, is learning how to receive feedback without allowing it — or needless gossip and outside critique — to define him. “Often, the very things people question or criticize are the same qualities that fuel your success and open doors that wouldn’t be open otherwise.”

That internal foundation — mindset, boundaries, confidence, and consistency — is what has allowed Jordan to lead with clarity and integrity while helping other businesses grow sustainably behind the scenes. It’s also what made 2025 his most successful year to date, transforming what began as a small side job into a full-time, well-oiled operation — one that supports multiple clients, increases their revenue, and refines their operations with intention and impact.

Jordan is the founder of Jordan Virtual Desk, a full-service virtual support and marketing operations agency designed to help businesses grow with structure, clarity, and intention. After graduating high school at 15 and college at 17, he turned what began as a small side project into a full-time, well-oiled operation supporting clients across legal, wellness, creative, and service-based industries.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Before the world offered its opinions, expectations, and ideologies, Jordan was someone deeply driven by an indescribable joy, discipline, determination, and an instinct to work hard. From a young age, he learned to rely on his own effort — showing up early, staying consistent, and believing that meaningful results come from dedication rather than shortcuts.

As he grew older, Jordan began to realize that much of the feedback people offer is shaped by their own experiences, limitations, and fears. While advice can be valuable, not all of it is meant to be carried forward. “You learn that discernment is just as important as listening,” he reflects. “Some guidance helps you grow — and some of it you have to leave behind.”

Building a life and business required Jordan to trust his internal compass, even when outside voices grew louder. He learned that every person must ultimately carve their own path, informed by wisdom but led by personal conviction.

At the core, Jordan remains who he’s always been — hardworking, intentional, and self-directed — now strengthened by the understanding that growth comes not from becoming who the world tells you to be, but from choosing who you are again and again.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Jordan states, “My business and career were not built on applause or outside validation. They were built through the energy I invested and the countless unnecessary words thrown my way — experiences that shaped my character and gave me the thick skin to transform criticism into fuel. That resilience deepened my love for my craft and the work I do, and that is something no one can ever take away from me.”

He shares that the years between 17 and 20 were far from easy. That season was often unpleasant and uncertain, marked by criticism, fear, and persistent questions about whether everything would work out. During that time, his career, business, and clients became his life raft — steadying him through the waves and giving him purpose when confidence wavered.

Jordan closes by expressing gratitude to every person who, knowingly or unknowingly, provided the fuel that carried him forward during those formative years and helped shape the foundation of the business he continues to build today.

He reflects that while it may feel like difficult experiences are happening to us in the moment, with perspective, they often reveal themselves as happening for us — a lesson in resilience, thick skin, and character that he learned early in life and carries with him to this day.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
Jordan believes one of the biggest lies the industry tells itself is that technology — especially AI — can replace genuine human connection in marketing.

“AI is powerful, and when used correctly, it’s an incredibly effective tool,” Jordan explains. “But it was never meant to replace human intuition, lived experience, or emotional intelligence.”

He notes that many businesses attempt to cut costs by relying entirely on AI for their marketing, messaging, and brand voice — a strategy he believes ultimately fails. “People can sense when something isn’t real,” he says. “Humans are wired for authenticity, and when messaging lacks truth or emotional depth, audiences disengage.”

Jordan emphasizes that AI should be treated as a companion, not a replacement. It can assist with efficiency, ideation, and structure, but it cannot replicate human insight, nuance, or the trust built through real connection.

“The most effective marketing still comes from human-to-human understanding,” he adds. “AI should support that process — not become the source of truth.”

In Jordan’s view, brands that succeed long-term will be those that balance innovation with authenticity, using AI to enhance their work while keeping the human heart firmly at the center.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
Jordan hopes people remember him as someone who lived authentically, led with kindness, and allowed who he was to propel him forward.

He believes that being yourself is not only powerful but necessary. That, when people honor their truth and move through the world with integrity, their impact naturally expands. “Kindness,” Jordan reflects, “should extend not only to others, but to yourself as well.”

Jordan also hopes he’s remembered as someone who stood up for others — especially those who were misunderstood, different, or too often shaped by misconceptions as he was in his formative years. Rather than tearing people down, he believes in creating space for each person to be seen and supported.

“Too many people are molded by assumptions that were never theirs to carry,” he shares. “If I helped even a few people feel safe and supported, then I did something meaningful.”

Ultimately, the story Jordan hopes is told is a simple one: that he showed up as himself, treated people with compassion, defended individuality, and used his voice and presence to uplift rather than diminish.
