Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Brianna Colbert. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Brianna, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
Developing confidence and self esteem was not an easy task for me. I constantly doubted myself or listened to people that would often tell me that my dream was too big. One day I woke up and I said to myself, “Enough is enough. Get up and show out for yourself; you have one life to live so live it.” And from that moment forward, I started gaining confidence and putting myself first.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
Ever since I was a little girl, I would watch my mother cook dinner for my siblings and I. I was the type of child that was always interested in learning new things. As I grew older, I went through this era of trying to find things that I enjoyed or was passionate about. I tried cosmetology, engineering, and business management but they just didnt have that creativity that I was yearning for. One day I stumbled upon a college that offered Culinary. Once I saw that, I knew I found what I loved.
Since graduating Culinary Arts, I am very blessed to say that I opened my very own Private Chef business at the age of 23. The name of my company is The Chef Bri Experience. At the Chef Bri Experience, we stand for equality, love, guidance, care, and last but not least, FLAVOR.
The best part of being a Private Chef is that you get to meet new people from all over the world whether it be travelers, celebrities, or locals wanting that fine dining feel. Another great thing about being a Private Chef is that you get to create your menus, ingredients, and plating design.
There is some excited news that I would like to share with you all. By the end of October of 2023, there will be a sauce line launched, as well as a cookbook just in time for the holidays!
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Three qualities, or skills that I would have to say are most impactful would be time management, techniques, and originality. The reason being is that with time management, you are able to stay on task and stay focused because you have a set goal. With technique, you are able to create things that require special techniques or cook multiple recipes from different cultures. Being original means that there is nobody on this earth who can make your dish/ or product better than you.
How can folks who want to work with you connect?
I would absolutely love to collaborate with multiple brands! I am looking forward to working with brands that support LGBTQ, cares about their product, and are business motivated.
I can be contacted through social media or through my website.
