Story & Lesson Highlights with Michelle Lopez of Redlands

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Michelle Lopez. Check out our conversation below.

Hi Michelle, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
I have built what I am calling spiritual inheritance. This spiritual inheritance is a foundation I have built within my soul and soul lineage. Through the act of sacred ceremony, prayer, self care rituals, and ancestral offerings, I have been able to create a trajectory and momentum towards healing generational trauma. A few years back I made a commitment to always be fortifying my spiritual life and unseen world with these spiritual practices. This spiritual armor has placed me on the timeline that will bring resolution to many past and current life karmas. Although this type of healing often goes unseen and unnoticed, and is even uncomfortable at times, I know I am creating true generational wealth that will have a ripple effect in the quantum field. This is not an instant gratification energy, but a tried and true directional pulse driven by my faith. I do this for my seven generations backwards and forward in time. It is my greatest service to my lineage. I am proud of this service and I say that with the utmost humility.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Absolutely. My name is Michelle Kearney Lopez. I have been an Elementary Educator for 30 years now. I am also a published author with Radhaa Publishing House and my own children’s book, Animal Magic. Additionally, I am an Usui Reiki Master Teacher, certified 200RYT yoga instructor, meditation facilitator, sound healer, crystal healer, oracle card reader, astrologer, and visionary artist and single mom.

Essentially, I am a medicine healer. I bring the needed medicine to individuals and groups that I work with. “Medicine” can be anything that is needed to bring about healing and it isn’t always what we think it is. It is not necessarily the psychoactive plant medicines that many spiritual seekers think of. Everything I have mentioned here is “medicine.”

Usually, the medicine that one needs is the medicine that one has not had enough of. It can be the sweetest honey or the most bitter herb metaphorically speaking. All of the tools I use I have learned and used on myself. I know the power of them and that is why I share them with others. Whether it is Ayurvedic practices, divining signs and dreams, drumming, writing and sharing written stories, or healing with the power of the sun.

As an advocate for wellness, I educate people and children on the medicine power of their own beating heart. It is the connection to the heart that allows all the medicine tools we use to have power. Everyone has medicine. It is my hope that I can guide people towards their own medicine. When our hearts and minds are connected, our belief is quite powerful and becomes the driving force to help us create balance and change, without that, the tools are just objects.

At school and at guest author events, I share with children the wisdom of the animals through my children’s yoga and my children’s book called Animal Magic: A Yoga-Tale of Love and Unity. This book is a foundation I use to teach a year long theme of social emotional lessons that come from the natural world. The natural world presents an unbiased perspective that children and adults can learn from as many indigenous cultures have done for eons. I teach students calming practices to calm emotions such as quieting the body through guided mindfulness, breath practice, and intention setting. I strive to bring a little magic into each day in the classroom and empower children to see that miracles are possible. The animals are a fun and relatable way to reach children. For example, the hummingbird teaches joy, while the lion teaches courage. Empowering their belief is the medicine I hope they take with them.

When I’m not teaching school, I am facilitating others in their own self healing journey through my practice called “Sacred Earth.” My private client sessions range from intuitive soul coaching to energy healing, reading the astrology chart, as well as empowerment practices to create ancestral healing. With the medicine wheel as a guide. I help the client see places in their life that are in need of balance. Together, we facilitate a plan and dive into a practice to clear the energy. My more recent focus has been on healing with the medicine wheel, light language activation, ancestral healing and creating visionary art. I intend to move into more of a teaching space soon with offerings in crystal healing, energy work and art facilitation.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
This is an important question and one that requires self honesty. There is a part of me that has stayed safe for too long. This part of me is always concerned about the safety of others. This absolutely has served me! As a teacher and a mother it is in my nature to create containers of safety where children are loved, cared for and fed. Where clients can find a caring ear and space to heal. However, they also must learn to fly and learn to do these things for them selves. I also have my own journey to live and I must give myself the grace to walk my own path of sovereignty and freedom. In turn, I must allow self responsibility to blossom within the people I love. It is a very fine line to stay present with those who need us and to give them the medicine of self reliance. It is something I am always trying to balance. It is a tremendous area of lifelong learning for me. It is not just about letting go of safety in relationships, but it is also about freedom of expression. I remind myself all the time that it is safe to speak, to use my voice, to take up space, to speak truth, shine and create. Nothing can diminish our light without our permission. I release the fear that has held me back. It is safe to be me.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
I would not be sitting here in front of you today sharing spirituality, yoga and energy healing had I not gone through many dark night of the soul experiences. It has been roughly 20 years since my initial big awakening. I had an experience where it felt like my spirit was being ripped from my body. When I woke up from that experience my life was not the same. My light body was activated and a purging and clearing ensued and it lasted for many years. It seemed that there were some very powerful oppositional forces that came along to stop me in life and in the unseen realms. These dark night of the soul experiences turned out to be my greatest teachers. It is a sacred and holy time. There is a humility I have now, coupled with a great resilience and strength that I would not have acquired had success come easy. True evolution is messy. It is not all hearts and flowers. My ability to transmute dense energies is something I have acquired with time, healing and practice. My capacity for joy, authenticity, and creativity is greater. Had I had instant success, the evolution would not be as great. Success isn’t about accomplishments and acquiring things. It truly is about the growth of the soul. The caterpillar must go through a metamorphosis to become the butterfly. It is an uncomfortable process and a cyclical one. It is ongoing. I am still becoming.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
No, I am much deeper than my public persona. People often are greatly mistaken about me. The way they see me is not even remotely close to who I am. Most of my life I have always felt that even the people closest to me don’t see or know the real me. I don’t fault anyone for that. There is just something in my human design that contributes to that. I don’t stay intentionally hidden, it’s just that not all parts of me are for everyone. I carry a frequency that is not easily understood or translated. It serves a quiet purpose, perhaps to activate others to awaken. My persona is there to help me interact with the world and to stay present and relatable. I understand that people can only meet you where they have met themselves and to push a belief on them or try to get them to understand a certain perspective is futile. All I can do is share and if someone resonates with that they will come to the understanding on their own. Likewise, I don’t let differences come between me and the people I truly love.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
I understand that inherently, we are all equal at the soul level. By that I mean we should never see ourselves or each other as above anyone else or below anyone else. The smallest child can we the most evolved soul, and the most intellectual, powerful, and successful adult could have more growth to do on the evolutionary journey. We are all on the path to learning soul lessons through our soul contracts that we created before coming to this Earth. We also did not agree to all of it. I am referring to the contracts we are currently experiencing because consent was given somewhere along the way. Sometimes this is ancestral in nature. If we can see each other as souls who came to this Earth school as a means to learn, grow and evolve, we can be less polarized and and have more compassion for the path people are on. I am here to be a bridge between heaven and Earth. This is a mission I take very seriously.

We are sacred witnesses to each other and even through the contrast, heartache and pain, we are learning and ultimately moving towards unity. The contrast a necessary part of the journey. Every person who heals themselves heals the world because of the ripple effect in the quantum field.
