Meet Zainab Bassam

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Zainab Bassam a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Zainab, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
Self-confidence simply means feeling complacent and self-esteem, which leads to a feeling of positivity towards ourselves and about our lives in general.People with high self-confidence are usually characterised by satisfaction with themselves, pride in what they do, and faith in their abiliti Steps to build self-confidence: 1. Recognising my achievements. 2. Self-challenging: Through self-challenging one can know and evaluate his abilities well, which enhances the opportunities for self-development and thus increasing the sense of self-confidence to develop and grow to strive for the better. 3. Not comparing the soul with others: Rather, a person must compare himself before with his state that he reached.
4. Building positive social relations: It contributes to enhancing his self-esteem by spending time with individuals who contribute to bringing out the best that the individual has inside him, which helps in enhancing self-confidence and even touches through them the effects of cooperation on the individual, and to stay away from anyone who broadcasts negative energy to him or focusses on his flaws and weaknesses.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
am happy to tell you that I am on the first step of entering the field of art and acting … My first passion was to make content and modeling (makeup -clothes ) and develop my passion until I started in television theatre training in acting and got two certificates and a recognised card in this field that is loved by my heart, and now from the latest updates we are doing a Lebanese series… The most exciting is the enthusiasm because I do what I love.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
-Experience and frequent practice are what present a conscious representative in front of his audience, and practice is the means of mastery, excellence and creativity, good work is perfect work.

– the ability to focus from the elements of a successful actor, and focus here means focussing in the character he performs with separation from the outside world whose main personality is.

-Many of the skills that the actor needs in all stages of his primitive, middle and professional career, such as the skill of fitness, the skill of starting, the skill of the dramatic personality, the skill of living with the text, the skill of living with the personality, the skill of the neutral mask, the skill of incarnation, the skill of using imagination, The skill of studying personality, the skill of influence and influence, the skill of sound exercises, the skill of correct breathing, the skill of softness, the skill of delivery, the skill of correct pronunciation, and the skill of improvisation.

To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?
My father died when I was ten years old, but I remember that he loved us and worked for us, and he never hit us. He was a peaceful lover and says that abuse is not an end, I was raised in a family without problems with parents. They were very understanding, he gave me a nice childhood without problems.

When my father died, my mother worked to raise us and secure our needs, and he gave us support, and safety is the source of love and strength, it is everything, and she is the one who encouraged me in my field and contributed to the completion of my studies, she gave the role of mother and father .
