Adrea Benedetti of Adelphi on Life, Lessons & Legacy

Adrea Benedetti shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Hi Adrea, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: Who are you learning from right now?
The wisdom of my grandmother. She blessed me with a lot of wisdom that I now understand as I experience Life daily. One thing she said often was, When someone gives you stone, give them bread. It’s like she knew how much stone I would receive in Life and how much I don’t like bread so it makes it easier to give bread to others. Even when I am starving and tired. At my lowest, I still must give them bread in return. Now I have learned from that wisdom, took the stones and built a solid foundation for Life.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Blessings and gratitude! I’m Adrea Benedetti, founder of ImpactHumanity, a nonprofit dedicated to advocating for and supporting underserved families—especially single-parent households. I started ImpactHumanity because I know firsthand what it’s like to be raised by a single parent—my grandmother. There were times when we were at our lowest, even without lights, yet she made those dark nights glow with the pretty candles I wasn’t allowed to touch (lol). She taught me how to survive in a rough environment while holding tight to values and morals that became my compass—especially when life got dark.

Through ImpactHumanity, I carry those lessons forward by partnering with community schools to connect families with resources and organizations that truly make a difference. What makes us unique is our heart-centered approach—rooted in compassion, resilience, and the belief that every family deserves support, dignity, and hope.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
My trauma. Over the years I have learned from traumatic events in Life from death of parents to witnessing suicide and environmental factors that impacted my childhood. I learned how to transform My Experiences into My Excellence. My grandmother taught me that there is no such thing as the word can’t. You will have good day and you will have bad days. Just know that there is another day.

When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
In 2023 when my grandmother died. She was my world and the only person I trusted to be transparent with. Then when she died, I decided that I will make My Life, My World… My daily habit is a boost of transparency with a dash of joy and gratitude.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
Batman. His morals, values, and discipline are more powerful than being rich, smart, and attractive.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I encouraged people around me to transform their experiences into their excellence.
