An Inspired Chat with Ahmad Carter

Ahmad Carter shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Ahmad, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day can vary depending if I’m working on a production or not but I do have a framework that has worked for me. I wakeup at 6am to get ready for the day. From 6:30 to 7am I workout or try to do some type of physical activity. I shower from 7 to 7:15. From 7:15 to 7:30 I meditate. Then from 7:30 until 8:30 I eat breakfast and read. Then from 8:30 to 9am I’m setting up for my morning livestream. I know that’s longer than 90 minutes, but I wanted to give a closer look into my routine.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hey everyone, I’m Kalamity, the creator and founder of Kalamity Productions LLC — a gaming and entertainment brand built on creativity, mindset, and connection. At its core, my mission is to inspire through gaming — using games like Fortnite, MARVEL Rivals, and Apex Legends not just for fun or competition, but as a vessel to motivate others to keep pushing toward their goals.

What makes Kalamity Productions LLC unique is that it’s more than gameplay — it’s about the mindset behind the grind. Through my content, I focus on storytelling, humor, and real moments that remind people that success — in gaming or in life — comes from consistency, resilience, and self-belief. My #KalamityMindset series, community events, and motivational content all tie back to that same purpose: building a space where entertainment meets empowerment.

Right now, I’m focused on expanding the brand across YouTube and other platforms, growing a strong community, and continuing to produce high-quality, meaningful content that blends gaming culture with personal growth. Game On! Game Hard! isn’t just a tagline — it’s the heart of everything I create.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who taught you the most about work?
Who taught me the most about work? My parents for sure. Both of my parents are hard workers and each of them have had their own businesses. Seeing their focus, consistency and entrepreneurship definitely showed me that if you want something, you have to work for it.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
I’ve wanted to give up plenty of times but I never succumbed to it. I’m very stubborn, whether that’s good or not I don’t know. I know my talent and I know my worth. Life will give you plenty of ups & downs but you must ebb & flow with it. I know my light is needed in this world so I cannot give up.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
Family, that’s probably what my closest friends would say matter to me. The world is in a very polarizing state right now and everything isn’t always what it seems, so I appreciate those closest to me. My family supports me and I am very blessed to have them.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I definitely feel like I’m doing what I was born to do. I am a creator and always have been, I just changed how I express it. I used to do a lot of drawings, now I create through my brand, my emotes, my overlays and graphics. I’ve been a gamer since I was a kid and have always been a fan of entertainment & media. I’m a valedictorian graduate from broadcasting school and have 10+ years experience working in radio and 5+ years working in film & television. I feel like streaming and producing content is the perfect culmination of all my talents and passions.
