We recently had the chance to connect with Alicia Rounds and have shared our conversation below.
Alicia, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What do you think is misunderstood about your business?
I think a big misunderstanding about my business is that people often don’t see the true value behind what I offer because popularity tends to overshadow quality and purpose these days. Many focus on what’s trending or the most talked-about, rather than the deeper impact, authenticity, and care that goes into my work. It can be frustrating because the real worth of my business is in how it transforms and serves people, but sometimes that gets lost when popularity and hype dominate the market. I feel like value gets lost.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Alicia, and my brand is an extension of who I am, rooted deeply in faith and purpose through Spiritually Guided Ministry. At its core, my ministry and personal brand focus on encouraging spiritual growth, intentional parenting, and leadership grounded in Christian values. I’m currently pursuing my master’s degree in Christian Leadership, which equips me with the tools and insight to lead with wisdom and vision both in ministry and business.
What makes my brand unique is the authentic way I blend my personal journey, faith, and professional ambitions. I don’t just talk about leadership and spiritual growth I live it, especially as a parent navigating this path in real time. I’m committed to creating meaningful impact, whether through my current businesses, the new ventures I’m developing, or my role as Media Director with Interfaith International Fellowship. This position allows me to combine my skills in media with my passion for ministry, helping to share inspiring messages and connect communities.
Ultimately, my story and brand are about transformation not only in myself but in others I have the privilege to reach. I want people to know that no matter where they are on their journey, faith and purpose can be a foundation to build on. I’m excited about what God is doing through me and the ways I’m able to serve, lead, and grow in this season.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
Who saw me before I could clearly see myself? Honestly, it was my friends first. They believed in me and encouraged me even when I doubted my own worth and potential. Later, my church leaders played a huge role as well. Alongside God, they have been integral in helping me recognize my gifts, understand my purpose, and step confidently into the calling I’ve been given. Their support and faith in me helped me to see not just who I am, but who I am meant to become.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell my younger self that your voice matters. Often times kids do not feel heard because they are treated as if they aren’t allowed to express themselves and their emotions. It causes them to shut down and eventually affects their adulthood. So I would tell my younger self you are heard, and your voice matters.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
Most definitely. What many people see online through my content is a genuine reflection of who I am; my passions, my values, and the things I truly love to do. Even though some aspects of my life are private or only shared with close friends and family, the version of me that I put out publicly isn’t a mask or a highlight reel; it’s an authentic glimpse into my journey and my heart. I believe that being transparent and real online allows others to connect with me on a deeper level, even if they don’t get to witness those moments in person.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What light inside you have you been dimming?
For a long time, I dimmed my gift of bold, prophetic voice hesitating to fully speak out or share my insights because I worried about judgment or rejection. I held back my spiritual gifts and the fire inside me, trying to fit into what others expected rather than embracing the unique way God wired me. This is still a struggle because people often question my ability to hear from God.
I also dimmed my creativity, especially in business and ministry, fearing it wouldn’t be good enough or that I’d make mistakes. But I’m learning that those lights are meant to shine bright, and when I let them, they inspire and uplift others.
Beyond that, I’ve hidden parts of who I truly am around certain people because of uncomfortable situations and past experiences. Sometimes, to protect myself, I put up walls or hold back my authentic self. But I’m growing in courage to break down those walls and live openly, knowing that my full light is meant to shine even in spaces where I once felt unseen or misunderstood.
