An Inspired Chat with Anna Kleopoulos

We recently had the chance to connect with Anna Kleopoulos and have shared our conversation below.

Anna, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What is a normal day like for you right now?
A normal day for me starts pretty early. I spend most of my workday as a mortgage loan officer, talking with clients, reviewing applications, and helping people navigate the home financing process. I enjoy the personal connections and the satisfaction of helping clients reach their goals.

After work, I like to unwind by spending time outdoors — horseback riding is one of my favorite ways to relax and clear my mind. I also make sure to take my dog out for a walk multiple times a day.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
What I Do & Why It Matters

I help people navigate one of the most significant financial decisions many will ever make: financing their home. Whether you’re a first-time buyer, looking to refinance, or exploring jumbo or investment property loans, I tailor solutions to your unique situation.

What sets me apart is that I treat each client as a person — not a file. I believe in:

Clarity over confusion: I strive to break down complex mortgage terms so you always know what’s happening.

Proactive advocacy: I anticipate issues before they arise and stay in constant communication throughout the process.

Honesty above all: If a loan program isn’t the right fit, I’ll tell you — because my long-term reputation is built on your success, not just closing deals.

I also have the advantage of working for Loan Factory, which lets me shop dozens of lenders in real time to get you highly competitive rates.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who taught you the most about work?
The person who taught me the most about work was my father. He showed me that success isn’t just about talent or luck — it’s about consistency, integrity, and following through on what you say you’ll do. Watching him work hard every day, treating everyone with respect, and taking pride in even the smallest details really shaped my own work ethic.

In the mortgage industry, that lesson has carried through in everything I do. I’ve learned that being reliable and transparent with clients builds trust faster than any sales pitch ever could. My father’s example taught me to show up fully — to listen, to care, and to always do the right thing, even when no one’s watching.

Do you remember a time someone truly listened to you?
Yes, absolutely — my sister truly listens to me every day. She has this amazing ability to really hear me, not just the words I say but what’s underneath them. Whether I’m talking about work, life decisions, or just venting after a long day, she gives me her full attention without judgment or distraction.

It’s rare to have someone who makes you feel that seen and understood. Those conversations with her remind me how powerful genuine listening can be — it doesn’t just help you feel supported, it helps you see things more clearly. I try to bring that same level of listening into my work with clients, because sometimes what people need most isn’t a quick answer — it’s to know that someone truly cares enough to understand them.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What truths are so foundational in your life that you rarely articulate them?
One truth that’s deeply foundational in my life is that how you treat people matters more than anything else. I’ve always believed that kindness, honesty, and integrity aren’t optional — they’re the core of who you are and how you move through the world.

Another truth I hold close is that hard work always pays off, even if the results don’t show up right away. Consistency and doing the right thing, day after day, eventually create opportunities and trust that can’t be faked.

And finally, I believe that gratitude changes everything — your perspective, your relationships, even your resilience. Remembering to be thankful, even for the small things, keeps me grounded and motivated no matter what life throws my way.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m outdoors, completely unplugged from the noise of the day. There’s something about horseback riding that instantly centers me — the rhythm, the connection with the horse, and the quiet focus it requires. It’s one of the few times my mind truly slows down.

I also find peace in the simple moments, like walking my dog in the early evening. The fresh air, the calm, and just being present remind me to breathe and appreciate life as it is. Those quiet, grounded moments — away from screens and schedules — are when I feel most myself.
