Hi Ashley , thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
This is a great question because I think how we start the day matters. It sets the tone! The very first thing I do each morning is read scripture. It settles me and helps me put life into perspective before I jump into a world of chaos. I also spend time in prayer; and on an ideal day, I also spend time moving in some form, whether it be walking or Pilates. It is all about trying to set a positive tone for the day so I am grounded and better equipped to handle all the unknows that may come my way.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am the majority owner of Springdale Title, LLC. The average person has no idea what a title company does. The short version is that when you buy or refinance property, we make sure there is nothing wrong, such as unpaid taxes or liens, and we sit with you while you sign all of the loan documents and explain what those documents say.
Our tag line is “We Say Yes.” We tackle the hard problems that can arise, and we are also flexible for our clients. We have signed documents in the maternity ward, nursing home, jail, and many other unique locations. We also offer evening and weekend closings when it is necessary to get the job done.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
I remember being in the fourth grade and seeing the news about the Oklahoma City bombing. That moment made me realize that the world is not always a safe place, and life can change in the blink of an eye. I have never lived in fear, but from that time on, I have always been a “news watcher.” I like to know what is happening in the world, and to best of my ability, understand why.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Any level of suffering teaches you what you are made of. Are you going to quit? Are you going to sit in a corner and cry? Are you going to grit your teeth, fight harder, and refuse to give up? When everything is going well, it is easy to have a positive attitude and forge ahead…but there is no real growth there. It is during difficult seasons, where you are tested, that you grow in strength, endurance and faith.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
The culture at Springdale Title is our top priority for the team. We have several core values, but I think the one that ties into all the others is Grace. We have to have grace for one another to be able to truly work as a team and have each other’s backs. Each of us will have days that are not our best. We need our team to be there to stand in the gap, and we then need to be willing to reciprocate that when someone else needs that same grace.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I am in nature. I love spending time outdoors!
