We’re looking forward to introducing you to Blvckhndz . Check out our conversation below.
Blvckhndz , we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Creating music is my greatest passion. I love to use my art as an outlet for therapy. Turning pain into Sonics and building worlds from ideas. I absolutely love spending time with my kids as well.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
In a world where conformity sells and image often outweighs substance, BLVCKHNDZ is carving a lane that feels raw, real, and revolutionary. This self-produced artist isn’t chasing trends — he’s building a world. A world rooted in trauma, rage, introspection, and black skin. With a sound that blends alternative rap, experimental noise, and deeply personal storytelling, BLVCKHNDZ doesn’t just make music — he creates movements.
From designing his own visuals and merch to building fictional universes within his albums (50 Shades of Rage and no one felt like they belonged), he treats every release like a multi-sensory experience. And while the mainstream may still be catching up, the cult is already forming.
This isn’t music for everyone — it’s for the ones who feel too much and say too little. The ones who question everything. The ones wide awake.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
Becoming an adult and having kids changed a lot for me. It made me have to learn how to adapt and become more patient with myself and others. I felt like having kids made me realize a lot of things and how to approach them different. They made me realize how fast time goes by and have present you have to be in the moment before it’s 5 years behind you.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yeah a few times when things didn’t work out but honestly… that was just me being dramatic. Putting unrealistic pressure on myself added a lot of unnecessary stress. Also my passion for wanting to be great but not getting there fast enough made me want to pull my hair out. Luckily my kids have made me a bit more patient.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, I’m weird and proudly so. I don’t feel like I need to fit the mold of what people think I should be. I’m proud of who I am and who I’m not. I feel like there’s no better way to be than by being your absolute self. Being a phoney is just weird and time consuming.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
Worrying about things I can’t control
