An Inspired Chat with Christine Blanchette of Vancouver, CA

We recently had the chance to connect with Christine Blanchette and have shared our conversation below.

Christine, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What is a normal day like for you right now?
Every day, I practice gratitude and spending some time thinking about my day ahead with a cup of coffee. I check my emails and get ready to work. It is important to be present in order to be the best you can be in your work and outside work.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am an award-winning tv producer and host of two tv programs: Run With It, fitness and health and The Closing Act, music and entertainment. Both shows are livestreaming on major networks. I am also a voice over artist and freelance writer for national publications.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
It was leaving the hobby farm to go to school despite feeling scared of the unknown and leaving my family. It wasn’t easy when I was at school as I was still missing living in the country and running on the country roads. After a while, I learned to adapt and I felt good about the choice I made to go to school. I felt more confident and was growing to be more independent. This helped paved the way into traveling on my own and becoming independent.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, when the pandemic hit, I had a bit of challenge of how I was going to still do TV interviews and what that was going to look like.

I learned about doing virtual interviews for my programs and teaching. It was a little different as I had to adjust how to look into the camera and new technology. After learning how to do it properly, I enjoyed it.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
Starting a new show, it takes time and patience. It starts with an idea, but it is a process. It took two years for my show Run With It to air and through my experience I will get there.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
I tend to worry a little, but working on it. Worrying creates more self-doubt.
