An Inspired Chat with Claudia Hackl

We recently had the chance to connect with Claudia Hackl and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Claudia, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day are pretty focused on starting off positive and balanced. I’ll do some affirmations, then stretch and get in a light workout. After that, I have a healthy breakfast—usually a smoothie with good ingredients and either oatmeal or eggs, depending on the day. It helps me feel energized and relaxed as I ease into work.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I run a marketing agency that helps small and medium-sized businesses grow through social media, branding, web design, and marketing strategies. I’m originally from Austria, but after studying and working in the US, I gained an international perspective that I now bring into my work. Thanks to that experience, I can easily collaborate with international clients while helping businesses strengthen their online presence and connect with more customers.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who taught you the most about work?
I get a lot of inspiration from books, especially motivational ones. For me, the big lesson is that you have to step out of your comfort zone and take chances if you want to grow. One of my favorites is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho—it really reminds me to follow my own path and go after opportunities, even when they feel uncertain. That mindset keeps me motivated as an entrepreneur.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, definitely—being an entrepreneur comes with hardships and a lot of responsibility at times. But I think that’s just part of the journey. Those challenges make you stronger and shape who you are, so I wouldn’t want it any other way.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, for the most part I’d say it is, because being authentic has its own character and charm. People can usually tell, even subconsciously, when you’re being yourself—and that makes you much more relatable and believable.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m able to focus on the positive things in life. Meditation also really helps—it gives me a different perspective and makes me not take things so hard. After meditating, I usually don’t feel as weighed down, and it’s easier to let go of negativity.
