An Inspired Chat with Collin Harrington

Collin Harrington shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Collin, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
What I’m most proud of building is the trust. The kind that doesn’t show up on a website or in a press release. It’s the foundation under everything, the quiet consistency, the relationships that don’t need to be broadcast to be real.

It’s the trust between me and the creators I represent, knowing that I’ll fight for them when no one’s watching. The trust between my team and me, that we’ll always find a way even when things feel impossible. The trust between us and the brands, that when we say we’ll deliver, we mean it.

People see the campaigns, the names, the wins, but what they don’t see is the late nights, the “let’s figure this out” moments, the years it took to build something that feels human in an industry that can feel transactional. That’s what I’m proud of. The invisible part that holds everything together.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Collin Harrington, head of talent and co-founder of HG Media. I’m focused on building long, sustainable careers for creators in a fully 360 digital landscape – helping them grow not just as influencers, but as brands, entrepreneurs, and voices that actually last.

What makes what we’re building so special is the balance between strategy and heart. I get to do this alongside my best friend and business partner, Hope Georgiou, and together we’ve created a space where talent feels seen, supported, and set up to thrive.

We’re also bringing brand houses to life at major cultural moments like Stagecoach – creating experiences where creators and brands come together in ways that feel authentic, memorable, and culturally relevant. It’s about building something real, something that moves the industry forward while staying rooted in genuine connection.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The relationship that’s shaped me the most is the one I have with my business partner and best friend, Hope Georgiou. Hope is the kind of person who believes in people before they even believe in themselves. She’s grounded, intuitive, and has this calm strength that balances out my constant need to move fast and push forward.

Working with her has taught me what real partnership looks like, not just in business, but in life. We’ve built something from the ground up together, through every high and low, and it’s made me more patient, more intentional, and more human.

Hope reminds me that success isn’t just about building a company; it’s about building something with people who see the world the same way you do with empathy, with curiosity, and with an unshakable belief in what’s possible.

What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear that’s held me most in life is the fear of slowing down. I’ve always felt this pressure to keep moving to be building, creating, achieving as if standing still meant falling behind. For a long time, I equated stillness with failure.

But the truth is, slowing down has been the thing that’s taught me the most. It’s where I’ve found clarity, purpose, and a deeper understanding of why I’m doing all this in the first place. I’ve learned that you can’t build something meaningful if you’re always sprinting through it.

That fear used to drive me, but now I let it guide me differently not to keep going faster, but to move with more intention.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, the public version is and always has been real.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
The relationships I have built — good thing, that is not happening.
