An Inspired Chat with Emmanuel Chin of Summerlin

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Emmanuel Chin. Check out our conversation below.

Hi Emmanuel, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
“Right now, what I’m most proud of is stepping into this new chapter of fatherhood. My little girl just turned one, and being there for her while also being a full-time fiancé has been the most meaningful part of my life. At the same time, I’ve gotten into endurance sports swimming, biking, and running as a way to push my limits and find a deeper sense of purpose. I’ve lost about 35 pounds in the process, but more than that, I feel like I’m growing into the person I want to be for my family and for myself.”

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Emmanuel Chin. I’ve spent the last several years in the tax industry, working with a company called Protection Tax where we help people negotiate and resolve serious tax issues. But more recently, my journey has taken a turn toward self-improvement, health, and personal growth. After nearly losing a family member I grew up with and cared deeply about, I had a wake up call. It made me realize how short life can be and how important it is not to waste it on temptation or selfishness especially when it comes to my family.

Since then, I’ve committed myself to becoming better, both personally and physically. I’m now training in endurance sports swimming, biking, and running and I’ve partnered with The Feed to stay dialed in with my nutrition. Looking ahead, my goal for 2026 is to complete a few half marathons and two Ironman 70.3 races, with the bigger dream of competing at Age Group Worlds.

What makes my story unique is that it’s not just about business or athletics it’s about finding purpose after hardship, building resilience, and showing my family what it looks like to fight for a better version of yourself every day

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
A moment that really shaped how I see the world was when a close family member I grew up with and helped take care of almost lost his life. It was a terrifying experience, but it opened my eyes in a way nothing else had. It made me realize how fragile life is and how easily it can be taken away. From that moment, I promised myself I wouldn’t let my own life slip by because of temptation, selfish choices, or simply not taking care of myself. That experience shifted my perspective completely now I see every day as a chance to improve, to be present for my family, and to push myself to become the best version of me

When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
“I stopped hiding my pain and started using it as power when I realized that life is meant to be hard the challenges we go through are what make us stronger. The day I accepted that truth was the day I chose to stop fighting against it and instead use it as fuel. Now, I take things one day at a time, using every struggle as motivation to push myself toward my end goals. For me, that means being the best version of myself not just for me, but for my wife and my child.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
You have to approach it like the person you look up to give it your all, trust the process, and let it play out. When you do that, things usually turn out great.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What will you regret not doing?
I would regret giving up and never knowing what could have happened if I had just finished.
