An Inspired Chat with Forever Soul Live of Las Vegas

Forever Soul Live shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Hi Forever , thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
We have been actively creating community and safe spaces in different cities for artists to network, grow, and prosper in their craft. When you see your community being built off the efforts you are providing, it is definitely a full circle moment.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Forever Soul Live is a dynamic, multi-disciplinary performance collective that fuses poetry, soul, rap, and R&B. We host live, often local events—sometimes tied to celebrations or cultural themes—to bring safe and cultured spaces to a city near you.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who taught you the most about work?
For the both of us, it has to be our parents and grandparents. Our families are immigrants and we are the first generation for both to grow up in the US. We seen how hard our families had to work to understand language, demographic and the black experience in a different country. All while, still raising us. It’s a humbling experience and our work ethic never wavers coming from strength like that.

What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear of not trying. We truly believe that failure is the seeds that water success. It takes consistent effort to become great. Sometimes, we have encountered folks in life who were comfortable being where they were at. For us, that was never an option and we always wanted more than what was given to us.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
The public version of us is a consumable version that is relatable. It’s the business version. Some folks really know the true us but when you create a brand, only so much can be given to your support base. We do not want to give to much because it takes the surprise away. However, we give enough where you know that we are on the same journey as our fans and we see them as well.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What will you regret not doing?
We will regret not doing anything to help us grow and become the most evolved versions of ourselves.
