Geechie , we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What battle are you avoiding?
My biggest battle right now are two things actually. The first one is not burning myself out . I’m always on the go. It doesn’t matter if its networking, flying across the United States to do a media tour, or just working on some behind the scenes work in the shadows. However these past few months I’ve been at home, attending events abd networking. That’s about it.
So with that being said my second issue is learning how yo balance all of this in my regular life and knowing when to take a breather.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Geechie Poet is a thirty-two year old Poet from Charleston, South Carolina.. He has 3 published books as well. However when it all started with some simple girl problems. Once I took a seat in study hall and began writing on a loose piece of paper, a close friend was sitting next to me and took the paper. After reading he encouraged me to keep conquering this craft because not too many people are good at it.
After having a number of composition notebooks filled with so much potential I told myself it was time.
Once I accepted my talent I published my work with no looking behind. It’s been a long journey of perfection and I still have so far to go. However the closest people in my life encourage me to keep going and that’s exactly what I’ve done the past fourteen years. My mission is to touch hearts no matter the age, we can all relate in some way. Welcome to the lyrical flight and hope you enjoy your ride.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My Grandma told me I’d be something special to the world as a kid. Granted me all have family members tell us that here and there when we’re growing up. Even though its taken a while to play out the puzzle pieces are steady coming together. The good memories and the frustrating members were all worth it. So I’m enjoying the journey as it all unfolds.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
I’ve almost gave up a few times and just whenever I find enough resilience to keep going another big opportunity or breakthrough happens for me. So that’s why they say never give up today because you just may win tomorrow.

Yes, the public vision of me is the real me. And I receive thst a lot whenever people meet me on a one on one perspective…

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What do you think people will most misunderstand about your legacy?
The most understood part of my legacy is that I’m more than a writer. My work is honestly timeless and it will be around forever. One thing I always promised myself is that no matter if I make it to the big league or not. I’ve accomplished something most ppl never will because of fear of failure.
