We recently had the chance to connect with Inez DJ Sage Goddess and have shared our conversation below.
Good morning Inez , it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? Are you walking a path—or wandering?
I’m not wandering and I’m not rushing—I’m flowing on my path with intention. I’m not trying to race to the top, because I know the real growth is in the journey, not the destination. Right now I’m moving with trust in myself and in spirit, letting what’s meant for me align naturally. I’m not stepping off my path; I’m allowing life, people, and experiences to meet me where I am. I’m flowing in a divine, grounded way that feels aligned with who I am becoming.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Inez, also known as DJ SageGoddess, and I’m a multidimensional healer, artist, and athlete. I’ve spent over 20 years in the world of health and fitness as a personal trainer, martial artist, holistic coach, and wellness guide. My brand blends physical strength, spiritual healing, and creative expression—from crystal work and herbal healing to energy coaching, meditation, and music. I DJ Amapiano and Afro House-I channel sound, movement, and vibration as forms of transformation.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
I release the version of me that lived in survival.
She protected me, but I’ve outgrown that chapter.
I release the part of me that overgave and overproved.
I am already rooted in receiving, and now that power expands.
I release the voice that ever questioned my greatness.
I know who I am. I’ve been aligned, chosen, and ready — and now that knowing is stronger.
I release old wounds, old attachments, and old versions of myself.
They shaped me, but they no longer speak for me.
I’ve already stepped into my healing, my abundance, and my divine self — and now that energy rises even higher, fuller, and more powerful than before.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me what success never could.
It showed me the truth about people, the world, and myself. It revealed that most suffering isn’t destiny — it comes from the conditions we were raised in, the environments we survived, and people insisting their perspective is the only right one.
Suffering showed me how unnecessary most pain really is.
People hurt each other out of fear, ego, and unhealed wounds — not because it’s part of some divine plan.
But suffering taught me clarity.
It taught me to see through illusions, recognize energy, protect my spirit, and stay soft without being used. It gave me strength that struggle could never define.
Success could never teach me that.
Success reflects who I’ve become.
Suffering revealed who I truly am.
My suffering awakened me — but my divinity carries me now.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
The value I protect at all costs is my peace and my energy ,even though most people in this world don’t value theirs.
Mentally, physically, spiritually, and emotionally, my peace is sacred.
People throw theirs away, but I don’t.
I guard my energy with all means necessary, with all beings, in every situation.
My peace is my protection, my alignment, and my power and nothing is worth losing that for.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Yes. I give everything my best — praise or no praise.
I naturally do things great, and I’m not afraid to say that.
That’s how the great become the greatest.
If I choose to do something, I’m doing it fully, with intention, with excellence, or I’m not doing it at all.
My standard is high because it’s who I am, not because anyone is watching.
