We recently had the chance to connect with Julie Prashad-Ramirez and have shared our conversation below.
Julie, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
What I’m being called to do now is build a business that’s fully rooted in Kingdom principles — one that aligns with who I truly am, not just what I can do. For a long time, I was afraid to lead that way. I thought I had to separate faith and business to be successful. But now, I feel called to show that it’s not only possible to build with integrity, purpose, and God’s guidance — it’s powerful. My mission is to teach others how to do the same: to create businesses that honor their values, serve others well, and reflect Kingdom excellence in every area.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Julie Prashad-Ramirez is a financial strategist, business consultant, and author devoted to helping women align their faith, finances, and purpose. As the co-founder of a thriving financial services business with her husband, Tony, and the founder of T&J Consulting, Julie empowers Christian women to build sustainable, Kingdom-centered businesses and careers that honor God while creating lasting financial impact.
A proud mom of three — Aish (20), Lillie (17), and Anthony (11) — Julie understands firsthand what it means to balance faith, family, and purpose while pursuing success. Her journey reflects both resilience and grace, showing that it’s possible to thrive in business without sacrificing what matters most.
Julie is a co-author of Becoming an Unstoppable Woman in Finance and Unleash Her — both Amazon and international bestsellers that inspire women to rise in confidence, leadership, and faith. She’s also the host of her own show, Just Julie, where she shares real conversations about faith, finances, and personal growth.
With years of experience in financial services and business development, Julie’s mission is to help women—especially those in their second act of life—rebuild confidence, restore financial peace, and walk boldly in their divine calling. Through her consulting, workshops, and signature Money Check-Up programs, she teaches how to merge spiritual wisdom with practical financial strategy.
Julie believes business can be a ministry when it’s built on Kingdom principles. Her message reminds women that it’s never too late to start again — with faith as the foundation and purpose as the plan. She continues to walk in light, helping others do the same as they pursue financial freedom and Kingdom impact.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a child, I believed I had to be perfect to be loved or accepted. I thought mistakes meant failure and that I always had to have it all together. Deep down, I also felt inferior — I didn’t look like everyone else, I didn’t talk like them, and I just wanted so badly to belong. I didn’t feel powerful back then, but something inside me always knew I was meant to break barriers. And throughout my life, I’ve done just that.
Now, I understand that my imperfections are what make me real and relatable. Growth doesn’t come from perfection — it comes from grace, learning, and the courage to keep showing up as I am.
When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
For a long time, I hid my anxiety and depression behind my accomplishments because I was embarrassed. I thought being strong meant staying silent — that leaders weren’t supposed to struggle.
But the truth is, even powerful women fight invisible battles. The difference is what we do with them.
I’ve learned that healing begins when we stop hiding and start sharing. My pain became purpose the moment I chose to speak about it — not from a place of shame, but from strength.
Now, I share my story openly because I know there are other powerful leaders walking through the same thing, silently praying for breakthrough. If my transparency gives someone else hope, then every struggle was worth it.
We don’t have to be perfect to be purposeful. God uses even the broken pieces to build something beautiful.
What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My foundational philosophy is built on faith, integrity, and alignment — but I’ll be honest, I wasn’t always like that. I used to be all about the hustle, chasing success and running on empty, thinking that’s what it took to get ahead. Over time, I realized that kind of striving comes at too high a cost.
Now, I lead from a place of purpose and peace — putting God and my family first, and letting the rest flow from there.
People who know me would probably describe me as strong but compassionate — loyal, honest, and dependable, but also the one who’ll make you laugh when things get tough. I’m grounded in faith, driven by purpose, and I bring heart, humor, and integrity into everything I do — whether it’s at home with my family or helping clients rebuild confidence and align their businesses with what truly matters.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What light inside you have you been dimming?
I used to dim my light by letting other people’s words and opinions define who I was. For a long time, I believed that fitting in and keeping the peace mattered more than standing in my truth. I often second-guessed myself and held back my ideas to make others more comfortable. Over time, I realized that doing so only kept me from fully stepping into my purpose and potential.
Through experience, faith, and a lot of self-reflection, I learned that my value doesn’t come from what others say — it comes from who I am and what I bring to the table. I started embracing my differences, trusting my voice, and understanding that my light was never the problem — I just needed the courage to let it shine. That mindset shift not only helped me grow personally, but it’s also shaped the way I lead, collaborate, and empower others to show up as their authentic selves.
Closing Reflection
Every chapter of my journey — from motherhood and marriage to ministry and business — has taught me that strength isn’t found in perfection, but in perseverance. I’m passionate about helping women see that they, too, can rebuild, realign, and rise again. My story is still being written, but one thing remains constant: I’m committed to walking in light and helping others do the same as they pursue financial freedom, faith alignment, and Kingdom impact.
