We recently had the chance to connect with Kendra Elyse and have shared our conversation below.
Kendra, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: When was the last time you felt true joy?
3 weeks ago when I was in Jamaica 🇯🇲 I felt like I arrived reconnected to my authentic self .
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Kendra Elyse, and I’m a sonic alchemist, meditation guide, and storyteller devoted to helping others reconnect with their voice, body, and spirit. Through sound healing, vocal activation, and soul-rooted practices, I create accessible 2–5 minute rituals that meet people right where they are—especially those with busy minds or sensitive hearts. My work blends sacred remembrance with grounded tools, offering support for nervous system regulation, emotional release, and personal reinvention. Right now, I’m building a global library of audio-based offerings, meditative poetry, and digital resources designed to travel with you—wherever you are in your journey.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a child, I believed I was too sensitive and too dramatic. I was often told I felt too much, cried too easily, or made things bigger than they were. So I learned to shrink, to second-guess my emotions, to quiet my voice.
Now I know that my sensitivity is a superpower. It’s what allows me to feel deeply, connect intuitively, and offer healing to others through my voice and presence. What I once saw as “too much” is actually the source of my medicine. I no longer see myself as dramatic—I see myself as expressive, emotionally honest, and attuned to what many others may overlook.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear that’s held me back the most has been the fear of being seen—fully, vulnerably, and in my truth. For a long time, I equated visibility with judgment or rejection. But I’ve come to realize that being seen is part of being free. Every time I show up as I am, I reclaim a piece of myself.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What do you believe is true but cannot prove?
I believe our voices carry codes—ancient, ancestral, and cosmic—that awaken memory, healing, and truth in others. I can’t prove it with data, but I feel it every time someone tells me they felt chills, release, or remembrance after hearing my sound work. Some truths are felt, not measured.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: When do you feel most at peace?
