Laura Kyttanen shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Good morning Laura, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Travel. With friends, my children or even alone. It is something that lights up my soul. I have a curious spirit and love exploring the world.
In May I took a solo trip to Scotland for an Abraham Hicks workshop and found myself walking the hills of Scotland for hours with sheep as the only company for miles. The timing was perfect as it was right after my ex moved out after we finalized our divorce. This trip was extremely healing for me. And is where I found true peace and stillness for the first time in ages. It’s in this stillness where inspiration started flowing again and many new ideas came through for elevating my business and company, Zielo Studio.
October is my birthday month and I first celebrated in Paris with a few of my closest girlfriends. It felt so good strolling the charming streets of St Germaine, eating delicious food at a beautiful new restaurant called Barbo in Montparnasse, tasting sweet patisseries on every corner and even taking an evening dinner cruise on the Seine as we watched the Eiffel Tower sparkle at midnight. I find that the energy in Paris awakens my divine feminine energy – such a romantic city with so much beauty and history.
After Paris I continued my birthday celebration by taking my daughter, Riley, to Antwerpen to see the Katy Perry concert. It has been important to me to expose my children to big dreams. Riley has shown interest in singing and dancing so I wanted her to see what is possible. Although we had standing tickets in the back, the universe had more in store for us. A compassionate security guard approached us and said we would be much happier in the front so he guided us to the front right of Katy’s stage which happened to be next to another mom and daughter who we instantly connected with. It was really incredible to see Riley’s eyes light up at all the different costumes and performances. And we made new friends who we plan to see again later this year.
Not sure where I will travel next but I feel something in my soul calling me towards Egypt to see the pyramids. If you have any inspiration for me, send me an email. I’d love to know where your favorite place is and why.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Short version:
I’m Laura Kyttanen, founder of Zielo Studio. I believe that healing your soul is the new performance strategy. After recently navigating the personal trauma of divorce, combined with the challenges of motherhood, I elevated my proprietary method, Mindset Energy™, to bridge moderns sciences and psychology with ancient wisdom. Today, I guide guides leaders and high performers on a healing and transformation journey using my proprietary 8R framework™ – to uncover what’s holding them back, reconnect with their authentic selves, release old patterns, and reclaim their energy so they can create aligned success that feels as good as it looks.
Longer version:
I’m Laura Kyttanen — founder of Zielo Studio.
At 21, I packed a small bag, bought a one-way ticket, and moved from a tiny town in Missouri to New York City with just $100 in my pocket. It was the first bold leap of many.
Since then, I’ve crossed continents, transitioned from corporate life to entrepreneurship, and reinvented myself more times than I can count. On paper, I was thriving — yet deep down, something always felt off. Despite all my accomplishments, I couldn’t shake the feeling that something essential was missing.
I have experienced many awakenings that have cracked me open and forced me to ask deeper questions. I began to see how our deepest wounds shape the way we lead, love, and show up in the world. And how healing the parts of us we’ve buried — the “soul fragments” lost through trauma, stress, or conditioning — is what actually unlocks our potential.
Most recently it was through the heartbreak of divorce. It forced me to pause and ask myself: What does all this success really mean if I don’t feel whole inside?
Over the years, on this personal quest for healing and transformation, I have have dived into holistic and energetic healing, studying various psychology, sciences, and most recently, the ancient wisdom of shamanic practices. I have found a variety of tools to help me navigate my own mental blocks, support my nervous system regulation, and overcome unhealthy patterns from trauma and inner child wounds which were influencing the way I showed up as a parent, as a leader and as a person.
Through it all, I created Mindset Energy™ — my signature framework that bridges moderns sciences and psychology with ancient wisdom. It helps people understand how their mindset (thoughts, beliefs, perceptions) and their energy (emotions, nervous system, inner alignment) shape everything — from their performance and relationships to their sense of purpose.
That’s the heartbeat of Zielo Studio — a sacred space for people who’ve achieved so much yet still feel disconnected. Because true transformation doesn’t come from doing more. It comes from remembering who you are beneath it all.
I believe healing your soul is the new performance strategy. When you’re connected to yourself — mind, body, and soul — everything expands naturally: your relationships, confidence, creativity, leadership, and sense of purpose.
Right now, I’m relaunching Zielo Studio’s signature program – a 12-week Healing & Transformation journey which is a deeply personalized experience designed to help you move through subconscious blocks, release old patterns, and reconnect with your authentic self so you can elevate your potential and impact.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I was born curious, joyful, and full of light — but life taught me to dim it to survive.
For years, I mistook strength for self-sacrifice and love for being needed. But the little girl in me — the one who felt deeply unheard and unseen — never stopped whispering. Leaving my marriage was my way of deeply listening to her. She was tired of living for others’ comfort. Today, I allow her laughter, courage, and creativity to guide me again. She’s teaching me that healing isn’t about becoming someone new — it’s about remembering and reconnecting with who I’ve always been.
The last year has healed and transformed me in ways I didn’t know were possible. It became the beginning of my own soul retrieval — a return to wholeness that now forms the foundation of my work with others at Zielo Studio.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could say one kind thing to my younger self, I’d tell her to…
“Trust your intuition — that deep inner knowing that feels like truth in your body and soul before your mind can make sense of it. That sensitivity you sometimes try to hide? It’s not a weakness — it’s your superpower. It is what gives you the gift to guide others on their healing and transformation journey – so they can lead, love and create with more authenticity and greater purpose.
For years, I looked outside myself for guidance and validation, but the real answers were always within. So the tool that has really helped me and my clients is to learn how to practice stillness.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Where are smart people getting it totally wrong today?
Intelligent high performers often focus on strategy, skills, and output — but the real leverage comes from within. Unprocessed trauma, fragmented energy, and disconnection from self quietly sabotage performance, resilience, and decision-making. Soul-level healing isn’t optional; it’s the ultimate performance strategy. When you reclaim the parts of yourself you’ve lost or ignored, your intuition sharpens, confidence deepens, and success flows naturally — sustainable, aligned, and powerful.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
If I knew I had only 10 years left, I’d stop letting fear, obligation, or other people’s expectations dictate my choices. I’m already living this truth — following what lights me up, creating from alignment, and surrounding myself with experiences and people that expand my soul. This is the work I guide others to do as well: reclaim your energy, trust your intuition, and step fully into the life you were always meant to lead.
