Good morning Leslie, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: When was the last time you felt true joy?
Oh, now this is a magical question indeed…..”When was the last time I felt true joy?” I can easily answer to this……..AT THIS VERY MOMENT! Just the very thought of “True Joy”, even to just speak those words, brings all the happy moments I have had true joy. Alas, I will share a memory, just last weekend, I was performing at an appearance, a child ran up to my fairy self and gave me a hug. She was so excited to see me and then we began to chat about my boots, my dress, my basket and what she likes and where I am from. I gave her all of my attention, it absolutely gave me “True Joy”, to see her light up with every word. This moment was better than ice cream.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
I had many happy moments in my childhood, but there were plenty of difficult ones too. School was especially challenging for me. I didn’t understand why I struggled so much, and because of that, I started to believe I wasn’t smart. I worked hard—did extra credit, attended summer school more than once—but my grades still suffered. What I didn’t know at the time was that I’m an auditory learner. I absorb information best through listening and speaking—through lectures, discussions, and audio materials. Unfortunately, that wasn’t recognized in school.
It wasn’t until eleventh grade that everything changed. A kind and observant librarian took the time to test me and discovered how I actually learn best. With that understanding, my teachers began giving me verbal instruction and oral tests—and suddenly, everything clicked. For the first time, I realized I was smart. I just needed the right tools. From that point on, I began to thrive. I discovered that I had wings all along—I just hadn’t been taught how to use them.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could say one kind thing to my younger self…. I would say. “Dear sweet Leslie, You are as special as can be, you were created on purpose, The Rainbow Maker Loves You & You Have a Destiny….Spread Your Wings and change the world because you wear a crown!
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Where are smart people getting it totally wrong today?
Well, let me start with this. Everyone is “smart” everyone just has a different recipe. There are those who are using computers to think for them, who are not using their souls, their spirits, their hearts in their everyday actions, decisions and thoughts and this is disappointing. The human creation was designed to function with these tools from within not electronics.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
Yes, I truly believe I’m living the purpose I was meant for. Looking back, the signs were there from childhood. When I was eight, a pastor’s wife named Fairy Hawthorn prayed with me and told me that one day, I would touch many lives.
Another moment that stands out: I once drew a picture of a girl with wings beside a tree with a swing, a spider in the branches, a striped cat, a duck, and a purple butterfly. Years later, those elements appeared in my life in remarkable ways—I had a pet tarantula, adopted a striped cat, won first place in a duck race, and eventually started my own business as a Butterfly Fairy with purple wings.
The signs weren’t just coincidences—they were part of my journey. And honestly, I feel more at home in my wings, spreading joy, than I often do navigating the human world these days. I prefer the Flutter Forest (TM)
