Mary, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What do you think is misunderstood about your business? 
This question connects me to how being an energy healer and practitioner is often misunderstood. When we become trained in energy healing modalities like Reiki. It can be assumed that we are the ones doing the healing but that is not the case. As an energy healer, I support the system of healing that is already available. In my healing work, I have the skills and expertise to help facilitate the healing that is needed.

Also, as an intuitive guide, I have the skills and expertise to act as an energetic mirror to my clients. To reflect all the insight, clarity, wisdom and guidance from their energy so that they can remember what they already carry within.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Mary Treen and under the banner of Treenlight, I work as an Intuitive Guide, Energy Healer, Meditation Teacher.
I also the host of the much-loved podcast, ‘Intuitive Seek,’ where we delve into the magical realm of energy and intuition with a refreshingly down-to-earth approach.

At treenlight , my mission is to guide people through life’s challenging cycles, endings and beginnings. Helping to reclaim clarity, direction and a deep connection with yourself. I offer a transformative blend of healing modalities, centred around powerful intuitive guidance & energy healing, tailored to bring a deep connection & a pathway to their authentic purpose.

I am a distance energy healing specialist. This unique fusion of energy work allows you to reclaim your inner wisdom, and purpose. Empowering you to reclaim, release & remember, to take those bold steps that are patiently waiting. As an energetic mirror, I connect to the energy field & beyond. It’s humbling to witness the shifts my client’s experience that is nothing short of life-changing mind, body & soul work.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
The part of me that has served it’s purpose and must now be released is the part of me that feels safe hidden from the world. Being seen in my abilities and authenticity was not always safe and being able to hide and dim my light helped to protect me. Through big changes and a redirection in my mid-life, I am now safe to be seen and to share my work with the world.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, I have almost given up countless times. Building an alternative healing business is not an easy road and even though I have wonderful support, there is no one to tell me 100% what to do but me.

Over the years, I have discovered that each time I feel that it’s not working or it’s too hard to keep going but I do anyway. The most incredible things happen on the other side of that crippling doubt, the heavy doubt that wanted me to quit. Now, I know that when I feel like giving up, it is the threshold I am crossing before I walk into a new expansion of my work.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What’s a belief you used to hold tightly but now think was naive or wrong?
When I was younger, I used to believe that everything happens for a reason. Now, I believe something different.

I believe that some things absolutely happen for a reason and some things just happen. Often, we can be told that a horrible or tragic thing has happened for a reason, but I believe that there is no reason for tragedy but our soul has the gift of making meaning out of the meaningless.

That when things happen without reason, then art steps in to create meaning out of it.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
If I knew I only had 10 years left, I would immediately stop second guessing my choices, stop comparing my life to anyone else’s, stop worrying about being misunderstood, stop getting caught up in the details and stop putting off the things I love to do.
