We recently had the chance to connect with Nichole Beene and have shared our conversation below.
Good morning Nichole, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
What I’m most proud of building that no one sees is how far I’ve come being a business owner, which we all know entrepreneurship is a journey of high and lows. Everyday it’s the ability to keep going, making hard decisions and navigating challenges.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Nichole Beene or as my clients know me by Nikki, I’m the proud owner of Pretty B’s Cleaning Services. Since opening our doors back in 2021, we’ve been committed to providing service of the highest quality, paying particular attention to working efficiently while keeping the lines of communication with our clients clear and concise. Our mission at Pretty B’s Cleaning Services is simple: to provide high-quality services in a timely manner. Our team caters to each project’s specific needs to ensure excellence.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who taught you the most about work?
My mom who played both roles as a parent while growing up actually taught me the most about work. She was my firsthand role model, she showed me that success comes from consistent effort, drive and the importance of not being a quitter. She taught me the value of finding work you love and doing things you are passionate about.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Be yourself and don’t compare yourself to others.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would likely say I’m a reliable person who shows up for them, especially during challenging or difficult times and who they can count on.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace in the comfort of my own home especially during times of grief. When the world is a little overwhelming I process my emotions privately gather up all the memories and that can be incredibly peaceful. Even though my momma bear isn’t with us anymore, I still feel her presence in everything I do.
