Petra Neiger shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Hi Petra, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
Every morning begins with intention. My ritual starts with grounding and a focused “day-setting” practice, which is a sequence of activities from meditation to Ayurvedic daily routines. These are my non-negotiables. I follow the Ayurvedic daily routine as closely as possible.
When I’m not traveling, doing events, or taking a day off, I start my work day with simple, methodical, uncomplicated work that gives me momentum before diving into more intense work.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m the founder of Red Pantz, a body-to-soul health and wellness destination rooted in Ayurveda and applied to modern life. I first began formally studying Ayurvedic medicine to help myself, and it became so much more. I’ve had eczema and hyper-sensitive skin since I can remember, a history of skin cancer, and a health scare. Ayurveda confirmed what I had always intuited: everything is connected.
As a board-certified Ayurvedic medicine practitioner, I wanted to create a system that supports wellbeing from the outside in and the inside out—always connected.
MY24/7 by Red Pantz is our premium Ayurveda-based self-care collection for skin, body, and mind, inspired by the wisdom of the circadian rhythm and nature’s health benefits. We’re proud to be a USDA-certified organic operation; extremely rare in the skincare space.
Every product is created with intention and delivered in environmentally conscious packaging, from FSC boxes to 100% post-consumer waste and biodegradable materials because caring for ourselves and caring for the planet go hand in hand.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
It wasn’t one single moment but a series of experiences that changed how I see the world. My brother’s near-fatal motorcycle accident was a big one. That brush with death jarringly reinforced my motto: never take anything or anyone for granted. As I processed the shock, I learned to lean into what I could control, to express gratitude fiercely, and to live without regrets. I also became profoundly attuned to the fact that everyone responds differently to crisis, so practice self-care, compassion towards others as well as yourself, and meet people where they are without judgment.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
The universe teaches lessons by expanding (by giving) and by constricting (by taking away). Everything flows in cycles. We humans tend to associate the constricting cycles with suffering. Yet those cycles have taught me patience, grit, and faith in ways that success doesn’t.
The only way out is through. You have to put in the work and trust the process. You keep encountering the same lesson until you truly learn it, then move on to the next level. Suffering calls forth hope and resilience you didn’t even know you had.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Where are smart people getting it totally wrong today?
We’ve glamorized “busy” as if it’s a badge of honor, but being busy doesn’t necessarily mean being effective, fulfilled or important. It’s even become an auto-pilot response to “how are you?” I make it a point not to use that word when someone asks how I’m doing.
In addition, people in general still think in terms of managing time instead of energy. Time is constant and easier to measure, but it’s not what fuels you, energy is. Energy is variable. When you learn to manage your energy instead of just your time, you show up more present, creative, and resilient.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What will you regret not doing?
Not asking—whether it’s for a meeting, an introduction, or an opportunity. If you don’t ask, the answer will always be no. Asking is how you move from possibility to progress.
