An Inspired Chat with Sabrina Serrano of Seattle

We recently had the chance to connect with Sabrina Serrano and have shared our conversation below.

Sabrina, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What’s the most surprising thing you’ve learned about your customers?
No matter the industry or market, every business owner tends to face the same foundational struggle. Their business may be growing and even bringing them joy, but behind the scenes, the foundation isn’t always as solid as it should be. What’s fascinating is seeing how universal this challenge is, organization (or the lack of it) shows up the same way across all types of businesses. It doesn’t matter what service they offer, the need for strong systems and structure is always there.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Sabrina, the Founder of Organizing Your Vision, where I help entrepreneurs and small business teams bring structure to the creative chaos of running a business. What makes my work unique is that I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all system. Instead, I partner with business owners to uncover where their time, energy, and revenue are slipping through the cracks and then design sustainable systems that fit their specific business and lifestyle.

I started Organizing Your Vision after seeing how many brilliant business owners were growing companies they loved, but behind the scenes they were held back by disorganization, scattered processes, and a shaky foundation. My goal is to help them turn their vision into something that’s not only thriving, but also sustainable and aligned.

Right now, I’m especially excited about expanding my services into new ways of support. I just launched my Business Kickstart Blueprint, a guided process that gives aspiring business owners a clear, personalized action plan to move from vision to reality. I’m also finalizing my Business Finance System, a ready-to-use spreadsheet designed to help business owners easily track income, expenses, and financial health without the overwhelm. Both resources are designed to give entrepreneurs the option of self-guided tools or one-on-one support with me, depending on the level of guidance they need. My mission is to make business organization approachable and empowering, so entrepreneurs can focus on the work they love.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
My relationship with Christ. I think in this life, everyone experiences moments of questioning: Who am I? Why am I here? What is my purpose? What legacy will I leave behind? All of life’s questions can feel overwhelming when viewed outside the lens of Christ.

When God showed me that I am created in His image and that He has a plan and purpose for my life, my perspective completely changed. I found confidence, hope, and clarity for every season, good or bad. This relationship has truly shaped who I am today and really serves as the foundation of my business.

What’s something you changed your mind about after failing hard?
I’ve learned that you never truly fail. Every ‘failure’ is really just a redirect, guiding you to the next part of your journey. When I let go of the weight that failure carries, I realized I’m just a person living life, exploring, and trying new things. I don’t know everything, and I never will, so why worry so much about messing up?

Everything that has happened in my life has shaped who I am today. Growth never ends, and I’ve learned to release the pressure I put on myself and instead embrace whatever each step brings.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, absolutely, though with just a little toned-down sarcasm. I save my full sarcasm for my closest friends. Ha! But truly, I am who I am, whether online or in person.

Not being yourself is exhausting, I’ve tried it, and I definitely don’t recommend it. We are all unique, and each one of us brings something different to the table that the world needs. When I’m open and honest about who I am and my past struggles, I’ve found it can sometimes unlock healing in others, and the same goes the other way. I would hate to miss out on healing a part of my own life or miss the chance to help someone else heal by not being my authentic self. Life’s too short. If you’re not being you, then who will?

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
This is an excellent question! I’ve always had the desire to do something administrative. Even as a child, there’s a photo of me playing with my mom’s paperwork because I loved it so much. Organizing has always been a part of me, but when I started college, I had no idea how to turn that into a career.

I earned my associate’s in Business Management but chose something ‘safe’ for my bachelor’s, Healthcare Administration. Healthcare was a big part of my family, so it felt like the practical choice. At 18, I landed my first real job in healthcare and thought, well, healthcare isn’t going anywhere, so I should be set for life… right?

Funny enough, that’s actually where my business name came from. The Medical Director there told me, ‘It’s like you’re organizing my vision!’ At the time, I didn’t realize how significant that was, but looking back, I see it as God planting a glimpse of what was to come. Years later, I finally realized, wait a minute, I really enjoy this part of the job. What would it look like to do just that? And that’s where Organizing Your Vision was born.

As I’ve mentioned before, it’s all in the journey. If something is truly meant for you, you’ll eventually get there. It might be through windy roads and speed bumps, but you’ll always arrive safe and sound!
