An Inspired Chat with Sade M of Los Angeles

Sade M shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Hi Sade, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Lately, exploring the city has been bringing me joy, trying new things like visiting places I’ve never visited before or trying new dishes. Los Angeles is a big melting pot with so much history, architecture, and culture here.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am currently getting more into content creating as a lifestyle and travel content creator and a contributor with Sheen Magazine. Looking back at my life, by far I think it’s been special and unique. I get to reach people from all walks of life, either reaching them over social media with my content, writing/interviewing and sharing their story, or assisting a family working with their kid as a behavioral therapist. My mission in all of this is to uplift, inspire, and serve as a testament to those coming after me to do what they do in love.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My mom, she always gave me encouragement and instilled what I can do rather than what I can’t. She was a lady of wisdom, and her guidance helped me throughout my journey, so although she’s no longer here, I will always cherish her words of encouragement and teachings and the integrity and morals she passed down to me and my siblings.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Life’s a gift within it’s self so I always try to find something to be grateful for no matter what circumstances I may face I look at tough times as a time to grow and learn valuable lessons what I personally learned is the importance of never feeling entitled yes we all have callings , gifts, and anointing on our lives but it’s about also keeping yourself grounded with humility because nothings owed to no one many people don’t live out there true callings so keeping a pure heart with humility is important.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
Great question. Yes, I am who I am. I don’t believe in fraudulence. I would hope others see my work and me as a person in an objective way rather than from a biased perspective, but either way, I am satisfied with my own reflection in the mirror, knowing that Jesus Christ knows whose I am ultimately.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. When do you feel most at peace?
In gods presence.
