An Inspired Chat with Samantha Gregerson of Sauk Rapids, MN

Samantha Gregerson shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Samantha, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What is a normal day like for you right now?
A normal day in the life of Samantha looks like this:

1. Get woken up by my husband with a kiss before he goes to work
2. Let the dog out, feed him and get ready for the day
3. Coffee! Can’t work without my coffee haha
4. Start conquering client emails and check my Google Calendar for tasks to be done that day
5. Get to workin’
6. Around 1 PM, I take a break to head to the gym and workout for about an hour (definitely helps reset the brain)
7. Back to work until my husband gets home
8. Spend the rest of the evening with making dinner, hanging out with my husband until we get tired and it’s time for bed!

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name’s Samantha, owner & founder of Rose Customs Web & Design. My business is broadly based on Digital Marketing, Graphic Design & Web Design, especially for small businesses. When you choose Rose Customs WMD, you’re not dealing with just another marketing company, you’re dealing with an independent small business who understands just how important your business is to you and shares the same desire of being successful in doing something you love! I’ve helped over 100 small businesses, whether it’s designing branding, building a website, SEO or simply just answering questions on what they should/shouldn’t do for their business. What I want everyone to know is that I’m on their team, I want them to succeed and I make sure my work proves that!

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who taught you the most about work?
I am blessed to say that I have two very dedicated, hardworking parents that have taught me just how important work ethic is. My father has owned his own business, even before I was born and my mother has put her all in any job she’s ever had. She’s even had her own business at one point. It was always inspiring to see that my parents took pride in their work, and it’s only benefited me to have the same work ethic, dedication and care for others as they have shown me.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Oh my gosh, so many times! Owning your own business and having that as your main source of income really is a challenge and the stress/defeat you feel can be overwhelming. It’s definitely not for everyone, and that’s okay! The thing I tell myself during those times is that I chose to do this. I knew that I could and wanted to handle all the challenges that came my way and stay dedicated. The amount of work and time put in with researching industries, learning how to keep up with the competition and constantly coming out with content without even getting paid for it can really make someone question if it’s worth it. For me, remembering why I started this journey in the first place, getting the chance to help people/businesses while doing something I love is what keeps me going!

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What truths are so foundational in your life that you rarely articulate them?
God will provide! Now of course, I need to put in the work – a business isn’t going to run itself – but one thing that I have experienced and even witnessed in my father’s life while running his business is that putting faith in God and what he has planned for me has always benefited me, so why even start questioning that now?

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Absolutely! Yes, it feels great hearing “I’m proud of you” or “you’re amazing” after putting your all into something, but the one thing I truly believe is that there’s nothing more fulfilling than knowing that I did the best I could. You may think nobody notices, but that’s not true. YOU notice yourself and that should be motivation in itself!
