An Inspired Chat with Septimius The Great

Septimius The Great shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Septimius , really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
Each day that I wake up – I first lay still for about 15 mins to itemize my to-do list. Then, I get up take a shower. Then I make a cup of my famous homemade Starbucks coffee.creation with Nutmeg, Cinnamon, vanilla syrup and creamer. I go out on my balcony overlooking the city while I plan my first, second, third etc of things to work on.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Native of Baltimore, Maryland USA will not experience in music, acting or very little modeling but on several times in my life – I woke up and made a major change in my life based a feeling, desire and curiosity. This urge for change allowed me to become a model, fashion show coordinator, fashion show producer, entertainment show producer, talent manager, stage entertainer, music artist, actor, fashion designer and event host. A constant evolution of my talents and passions.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a child I had a fear of failing and as I grow older, I learn that the more I learn – the more I know how to avoid failing. Most of all, failure is not always a bad thing but a step needed to succeed.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
During my evolution of my talents and passions, when I did not accomplish being on TV, Radio, Movies or event major media outlets – I felt like giving up and that I failed.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
The public version of me is so far from the real me because the public version of me is business and success but the real me is being that forever student to learn and grow.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What do you think people will most misunderstand about your legacy?
People would most misunderstand me because my image seems to be sparkling, shiny and refined but don’t see or can imagine the struggle, insecurities and downfalls in my life.
