We recently had the chance to connect with Yarimar Rosario and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Yarimar , thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
I get up take my children to school then I come back home shower and start getting ready for work
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi there! I’m Yarimar Rosario the photographer and creative mind behind Rosario Photography. My brand was born from a deep love for storytelling through images, capturing genuine moments, real emotions, and the beauty in everyday life. What makes my work unique is my approach, I focus on creating an experience, not just taking pictures. Every session is personal, relaxed, and designed to reflect the true essence of the people in front of my lens. Right now, I am working on expanding my portrait portfolio, launching seasonal mini sessions and exploring new creative projects. At Rosario Photography my goal is simple to capture stories that last a lifetime and create images that feel as authentic as the memories themselves.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My family and friends saw something in me long before I did. They recognized my eye for beauty and storytelling and encouraged me to pick up a camera before I even realized how much it would mean to me. My camera saw me before I saw myself. Through photography, I began to understand how I see the world the light, the emotion, the small details that make moments extraordinary. For me, it was the people I photographed. Long before I fully understood my voice as a photographer, their stories, emotions, and quiet moments reflected something back to me the way I see light, connection, and truth. Through my lens, I discovered not just them, but myself.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There has been plenty of times where I felt like giving up because I felt like I wasn’t good enough or that my work wasn’t good enough. Every time I felt like giving up people reminded that I am great and that I shouldn’t give up on something I love doing.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Whose ideas do you rely on most that aren’t your own?
I rely most on the ideas and energy of the people I photograph. Every session is a collaboration their stories, emotions, and presence shape the way I see and create. My best work comes from listening, observing, and allowing their natural moments to lead the way.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What will you regret not doing?
I would regret not living a little more I am always so focused on work and responsibilities that sometimes I forget to live in the moment and enjoy life.
