Apostle and Chaplain Fanny Minnitt & ?? of Cedar Hill, TX on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Apostle and Chaplain Fanny Minnitt & ??. Check out our conversation below.

Fanny & ??, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: When was the last time you felt true joy?
One Tuesday evening, our grandson called; he had biked a half-mile from where he lives without thinking about the distance. He was alone, enjoying the sunset, the mountains, and the sight of an otter and some big rat. He called me so that I could view the beautiful mountains and scenery that he had immersed himself in without realizing he had gone too far. At first, my heart was beating fast because all I could see on FaceTime was my grandson and nature. I called out to my husband and said, “He is by himself out there.” He turned his bike around, looked in the screen, and said to me, “Grandma, look at the mountains, and Grandma, the sunset or sunrise, whichever one it is is so beautiful!” It’s beautiful, Grandma, you see!? All fear left my emotions, and joy entered my spirit, soul, and body as I too, engaged from a distance the beauty of God’s creation that my grandson in his moment of joy took the time to share what he was experiencing and feeling with his grandma and pawpaw. Now, we stayed on the phone with him until his little behind pedaled back to his house, opened his door, and went inside. The memory of him riding back home with the wind blowing through his curly hair, the mountains standing tall behind him, and a sunset radiating pure, beautiful light in the sky is a joyful moment I’ll always cherish.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello, I’m Fanny Minnitt, the Faith and Inspirational Lady. November was my birthday month; I’m sixty-six years old, and life is not slowing down for me. I’ve written six books, five bestsellers; three of them were anthologies. I am honored to have received the Gospel Trailblazer award and multiple radio talk show awards. I also host a live-streaming show. A missionary instructor for ECU in Jamaica, a mentor, and pursuing a doctorate degree in Theology. I am a veteran and retired teacher, enjoying 42 years of marriage to a handsome and loving man. I have a son and a grandson. In 2015, I surrendered my life to Christ. Minnitt Just Have Faith was created through the power of faith. Since surrendering, I’ve preached the gospel in Africa and numerous places in the United States. I truly enjoy traveling; one of my favorite places was Israel, a living walk through the Bible. Two years ago, I founded Fanny Minnitt World Ministries, Inc., where I currently serve as President. He had already given me a great team. The mission of the ministry is to “Make Disciples” (Matthew 28:19-20). On September 20th, we launched our annual conference Spirit, Soul, Body intertwined with Family, Community, Political Sphere of Influence; it was Holy! We announced our new Spirit, Soul, Body Masterplan Discipleship Program at the conference, and I’m excited about it, as well as the upcoming Discipleship 111 Scripture Memorization Journal. Y’all don’t stop until God shuts it down. Contact us for prayer, and look for our introduction to the Spirit, Soul, Body Masterplan Discipleship Program and the ministry’s published 111 Scripture Meomorization Journal. We would love to have you in the learning and sharing process of our ministry.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
During the COVID pandemic, I hosted The Fanny Minnitt Show via live-streaming radio. On my way home, the streets were nearly deserted with only three cars, I was one of those three cars, yet the sun was shining brightly. I am a veteran, so I knew that things operated globally, but that day while driving slowly down the road and highway, my focus shifted to the book of Revelation and global activities. That day I realized that it is not an American thing, it’s a global thing, an earthly thing, a spiritual thing. That day, good and evil at war overwhelmed my thoughts. That day I saw a glimpse of what is to come!

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There was a time that I almost gave up ministry. My son, whom I love from the core of my heart, whom I prayed for even before ever thinking about being married, was my lifeline, my joy, my strength, but yet somehow we drifted apart when he began to have problems with—I won’t say. But I am happy to say it wasn’t addiction. It was hard for me to comprehend how someone God intended for me, who once lived in my body, could decide to stop loving me and not push through our challenges. So I thought that I wasn’t worthy enough or fit to continue to preach and teach the gospel. After all, my own son couldn’t feel or embrace how much I love him. God is love; surely I felt somehow I must be messing up, but you can’t give up on God’s plan for your life because someone gives up on you. I don’t believe that God would birth a human being inside of me and allow the enemy to take away what He predestined and birthed inside of me for life, and to disrupt our relationship in this way; it is illegal in Heaven. How and why in the world am I sharing this? Only the Holy Spirit can help me get past the tears and share this one. This I would not have shared on my own. You see, I believe I had to for the internal struggle that visits my heart spiritually and naturally. And for that woman or man out there who is suffering in silence or who is thinking about giving up what God has commanded them to do. Trust God, keep praying, be patient, and allow God to fight for you. Okay, Voyage Magazine, you tapped a little too deep. But thank you for this question.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
My grandson, who is still a child. He is resilient and loves life, people, animals, and things. He is unconditionally caring about all people. I recall a drive when he was about three or four; he got upset, asking why there were people sleeping outside, and he wanted those people inside. He cannot stand to see homeless people, hurting animals, or hear people raise their voices; he embraces peace, and he wants everybody and everything to embrace beauty and peace. He believes in Jesus as if Jesus is his best friend. He has changed his prayers a little now, but for years he would pray at the table, “God, I love Jesus, my grandma, pawpaw, family, food, and drinks,” occasionally adding “trees” or “birds.” His love toward life is so pure. He often reminds me of how God loves us. Even when we are most polluted, God loves us. This child demonstrates a heartfelt affection for every moment of life. I admire his character because of his love for life, not just for himself, but for others as well. He was bullied when he was in the fourth grade by some kid, and when he told me about it, I had a little grandma anger; he stopped me in mid-sentence and said, I am alright, Grandma,” but he was concerned for the bully. He is always concerned about others, especially his family—all of us. He prayed for my eyes; whenever he prays, it’s always a specific prayer. I declare healing in my eyes in agreement with him, but I never told him anything was wrong with my eyes. I love how he embraces nature and enjoys beauty. Even when he gets upset, it’s only for a little while. I have learned some life lessons from this kid. I pray that he continues to walk in God’s favor, mercy and grace.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. When do you feel most at peace?
When I feel most at peace is when my husband and I settle down in the night hours. Phones stop ringing, and all the attention focuses on each other. It feels so peaceful to me.
