Avaryana Rose of Sarasota County on Life, Lessons & Legacy

Avaryana Rose shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Hi Avaryana , thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
My nephew asked about me when I wasn’t there, and I received the cutest video of him asking where I was!

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi! My name is Avaryana Rose. I am an actress, aspiring writer, and producer. I have helped make 4 movies now, Spirit Springs, Bitter Souls, The Caretaker, and Final Act with my family owned production company BABE Entertainment. I am also the CEO of Babes Against Bullying, an organization dedicated to bringing awareness to cyber bullying.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
I used to be extremely introverted and meek as a child, and I listened to the destructive voices around me telling me I was the ‘weakest link’. As I got older that belief solidified in me, and as I navigated middle school life, I began getting bullied. Through that time it broke me down; and I hit a rock bottom. But as they say, from the ashes I rose, and I created ‘Babes Against Bullying’ to spread awareness about cyberbullying. Now here I am, stronger than ever due to that experience.

What fear has held you back the most in your life?
My fear itself. I’ve always struggled with fear over quite literally, everything. It’s held me back more times than I can count, but I continue to fight it every day.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
This is such a good question!! I think the biggest lie they tell themselves is that people want to see the same faces in movies, over and over again. I hear more and more people (including myself) talking about how when they see a movie, they crave to see new faces and fresh perspectives.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
This is so hard. It would have to be giving up junk food. It’s totally my guilty pleasure; fast food, ramen, chips.
