Avoiding burnout is really hard. I have to remember to allow myself the grace I give to other people. I read that you can actually be diagnosed with burnout, and I feel like it’s something we all can relate to. I had to really sit down and write out a “self care” routine and stick to it. Extreme Self-Care, on a regular basis, is how I cope with burnout, manage it, or avoid it. What that means to me? Sleep. Hydration. Fresh Air. Movement. …tho’ not militantly! Sleep: Rest. Naps. Early bedtimes. I try to obsess enough so that my mediocre attempts actually help me get some serious sleep.
