There’s not many days off when you’re a sole proprietor of a small business. People will give you negative reviews for not being available to respond to messages fast enough while you’re on vacation. Having to be available on social media 24/7 & keeping up appearances in markets at least 5 out of 7 days takes a toll on my mental health. We feel as if everyone is going to come to a point in time in their life where they will experience some kind of burnout. Whether it’s from school, work, or their personal life. When we were younger we had a lot going on that became very difficult to balance at times. From full time school students, to school clubs, sports, etc. it seemed like we never really had time to just take a breather. Honestly, being exposed to that at a younger age helped us learn how to balance and even avoid burnout in our adult lives. We actually did fall victim to burnout. We were uploading our podcast once a week and with that the burnout came at about a year in and we felt like we needed to take a break. After a little bit we decided to sit down and think about how we could avoid that again. After throwing around some ideas we decided on once every two weeks, and with that we found our drive to be better than before. Of course bringing Nick back helped too because having a conversation between three people is a lot easier than two. The biggest help with this is less stress on one another and personal schedules.
