Everything in moderation. As much as I love doing what I do, sometimes I need a break or I’m going to throw up. You have to find a balance between diving into and immersing yourself in your chosen passion, and staying away just long enough to miss doing it. If this is the thing that you were truly meant to do, it will always find its way back to you. Plenty of times I’ve worked other jobs and ended up doing bodywork again. Plenty of times I’ve partially filled out an application and said, “Nahhhhhh!” Oh, and another way to avoid burnout is to be around other people that are better than you in your field. I can name 10 of my peers off the top of my head who eat, drink, breathe, snort, rub it (massage therapy) against their teeth and gums. Those people make you want to get better. Read more>>
