Blakeli Swilling of Dalton, GA on Life, Lessons & Legacy

Blakeli Swilling shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Hi Blakeli , thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
I always wake up and make my bed first thing! It’s something that always makes me feel productive within the first few minutes of being up! After, I get ready for a workout and take care of my dogs by feeding them and taking them on a walk, I finish up my morning by doing a 30-45 minute workout. My morning routine is extremely important for me and my mental health, so I try to stay consistent everyday!

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Blakeli! I have been an esthetician for 9 years and owned Bloom Spa & Co for 6 years before beginning my journey at Vaein 🫶🏼 Aesthetics has been a huge passion of mine since I was young and dealing with my own skin issues and have enjoyed helping my clients feel beautiful and pampered after leaving my care ✨ I will be specializing and certified in all the fun medical devices at Vaein, so get ready for some fun treatments like RF microneedling, lasers and more to get some amazing results with any skin concern!

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who taught you the most about work?
My dad has always had a huge impact on my work. I strive to always be the best and give 100%.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There have been many times I wasn’t sure that this path was going to work out for me, through growing my clientele and then having the pandemic made me start all over again it’s been a long road. Social media makes it look really easy growing a clientele and being successful, but you don’t see the other side of tears, fear and anxiety of not making it. It’s been a hard road to get where I am now, but I wouldn’t change anything as it’s made me more appreciative of what I have grown into.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
As every little sister probably says, but I’ve always looked up to my big sister the most. She is the most kind and loving person to everyone, especially those closest around her. She is always more concerned about the people around her than she is herself and I admire her the most for being as selfless as she is! She is truly one of the best people I know.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What will you regret not doing?
Worrying less and living life to the fullest, as most business owners know you’re constantly stressing about the business and trying to come up with the best ideas to help you stand apart from others. While growing your business is so important, it shouldn’t take over your whole life as it does! I want to try to let go of some of that stress to fully enjoy and live a life that I’m proud of!
