We’re looking forward to introducing you to Brandon Stalter. Check out our conversation below.
Good morning Brandon, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? Are you walking a path—or wandering?
For a time, I was wandering. I was deeply committed to a serious relationship—in fact, I was engaged—and in the effort to make that work, I honestly lost sight of my own core direction and values. It was a challenging time where I was sacrificing my own well-being and sense of self. It took a moment of complete clarity, which I attribute to my reconnection with my faith, to realize I was on a path that wasn’t meant for me. Today, I am absolutely walking a path. I’m happily single, centered, and actively pursuing a path I believe is righteous and true to who I am. That experience, though painful, served as a compass correction, making my present path far more deliberate and focused.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Brandon Stalter, and it’s a genuine privilege to share my story with your readers.
I am the founder of Perseus Legacy Coaching. Simply put, I help people engineer their comeback in life. My work isn’t just about fitness; it’s about helping people move from a place of being lost or defeated to one of clear direction, strength, and purpose.
The creation of Perseus Legacy Coaching is a profoundly personal one. For a period, I was wandering—lost in a relationship that stripped me of my self-worth. That journey hit a turning point when I recommitted to my faith and began praying daily. It was through strengthening my relationship with Jesus Christ that I was given the clarity, strength, and conviction to step into my purpose.
I truly believe that God has rewarded that renewed commitment with the opportunities I now have. This company is the physical manifestation of that transformation.
What makes us unique is that we are built entirely on the concept of redemption and resilience. The name, Perseus Legacy, reflects the idea of slaying the ‘monsters’ in your life—whether those are bad habits, destructive relationships, or self-doubt—and creating a powerful, lasting legacy.
I don’t just offer training plans; I offer a blueprint for a second chance. I coach people to build physical strength, yes, but also the spiritual and mental fortitude needed to reclaim their lives. That genuine, transformative comeback story is what makes our legacy—and our clients’ legacies—special.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The relationship that most profoundly shaped how I see myself was, surprisingly, my most serious one, with a person I’ll simply call Lacie.
While that relationship ultimately ended, and I don’t regret it for a moment, it was instrumental in forcing a major redirection in my life. During that time, I became so invested in another person that I lost sight of my own foundation and worth. It was a period of wandering, as we discussed earlier.
The breakup was the catalyst that led to my deepest level of maturity and self-reflection. It was the crucible that burned away the inauthentic parts of my life, steering me directly toward a stronger, more disciplined relationship with God.
I’ve learned that I have an ability to take traumatic events and heartbreaks and successfully transform them into milestones and achievements. I firmly believe that after every significant challenge, I emerge:
• Better: With a clearer vision of my true purpose.
• Stronger: In my faith and conviction.
• Smarter: About red flags and setting boundaries.
• More Mature: In how I handle setbacks and maintain self-respect.
My past relationship showed me what I was willing to sacrifice and, more importantly, what I absolutely must never compromise again: my core values and my spiritual foundation. Because of that experience, I now see myself as a person who can reliably turn pain into progress, which is the very ethos of my business, Perseus Legacy Coaching.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, there was absolutely a time I almost gave up, and it was the lowest point of my adult life.
I was drowning in depression due to the emotional toll of my past relationship. The future looked bleak; I was fixated on a life that wasn’t right for me, which led to a complete loss of self. I lost interest in everything that defined me. I stopped my consistent workouts, and perhaps the clearest sign of how lost I was, I even stopped playing video games with my 80-year-old grandpa.
That time together was, and is, a cherished tradition. We both share the same name on the game: Perseus. That connection and that name—representing courage and legacy—is so vital to me that I dedicated my company, Perseus Legacy Coaching, to him. When I stopped making time for that, I knew I was truly losing myself.
I was on the brink of giving up on my direction and identity. But in that darkness, I found my way back through faith. I credit God for opening my eyes and showing me the way out of that destructive mindset. It wasn’t just a change of heart; it was a divine redirection that helped me reclaim my purpose, my passion, and ultimately, my name.
That experience is now the fuel behind my business. I use that memory of despair to inspire others, proving that you can always make a comeback and turn a moment of almost giving up into the foundation of your greatest achievement.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would tell you that two things truly matter to me: loyalty/connection and living with a righteous purpose.
My best friend, Jordan, is a great example of this. We met randomly playing video games back in high school, and he became one of the most reliable and consistent people in my life. He and his wife, Cassie, have seen me through my biggest trials—from my first major heartbreak at 21 to my recent, more painful one.
They would tell you that I value those deep, unwavering connections above almost anything else. Jordan has been there to witness my growth, including the “birth of the Perseus ideal”—the journey that led me to start my coaching business dedicated to my grandpa. That kind of friendship, built on shared history and mutual support, is the foundation of my life.
Beyond those core relationships, they would say that what truly matters to me now is walking a righteous path with God. Jordan and Cassie have seen my lowest points—the wandering, the depression—and they have watched me reclaim my life through faith.
So, in short, I would say what matters to me is the pursuit of integrity, the comeback story, and the fidelity to God and to the people I love.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What do you think people will most misunderstand about your legacy?
I think people will most misunderstand the source of my strength and the timeline of my success.
If people only look at the business success and the confidence I have today, they might assume my foundation is built on sheer willpower, relentless ambition, or just luck.
The deeper truth is that my legacy is not built on self-reliance; it’s built on redemption through faith. My comeback—the birth of Perseus Legacy Coaching—didn’t come from me simply deciding to ‘hustle’ harder. It came from hitting my lowest point, choosing to reconnect with God, and receiving the clarity and strength I needed through that spiritual foundation. I believe I was shown the path; I didn’t just find it. The business is the fruit of that spiritual commitment.
The other thing people might misunderstand is how quickly this change occurred. They might see the brand today and assume it was a straight line from failure to success.
What they won’t see is the period of intense wandering, depression, and loss that preceded it. They might miss the fact that my coaching business is born directly from the trauma of that past relationship and the years of learning that followed. My current path isn’t defined by a lack of struggle, but by the ability to take those moments of feeling taken for granted and used, and transforming them into a blueprint for others to create their own comeback.
In short, I want my legacy to be seen as a testament to resilience fueled by faith, not just a feel-good business story.
