We recently had the chance to connect with Brett Meyer and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Brett, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Currently I am engaging more on social media and posting more on Instagram and my TikTok account. I really dive into my hobbies of sneakers and fashion with my social media
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello my name is Brett Meyer or Bredour; former Lawsofvogue if you have heard of me.
I created personal content surrounding my hobbies and passions, Manage social media account of other influencers and businesses, I resell designer products and sneakers and lastly do sales and advertisement for companies.
My personal brand across my account is Bredour
I manage the social media of Marquise Jewelers who is a great friends of mine located out in Chicago.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
I think my friends and my significant other saw who I can become and what can I achieve before I saw for my self. They push my everyday to be better and they know the vision I have makes sense for me.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Working for success and suffering through the hard times teaches you consistency, and patience. You have to have both when you are working towards something great.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
I think in the social media world it’s so easy to only see the good stuff as that is what everyone posts. What people don’t realize is that the life of those creators isn’t always like that and there is a lot of hard work that goes on behind the scenes to keep up that lifestyle.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I am currently working towards what I want to do, it takes time and sometimes you have to do the small things over time to lead to the big things.
