Hi Brianna, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
I wouldn’t necessary say afraid but definitely intimidated. That’s sharing my faith through creative expression and sharing on social media. I have always been creative. God gave me my creative talents. It’s my honor to be called to worship Him with creativity.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hey there! My name’s Brianna but you can call me Bri. I’m 26, married to my best friend, obsessed with our dog Blu, and I love Jesus more than anything. I host Proverbs 31 Creatives podcast, serve on the social media team at my church, I’m a local content creator serving Cincinnati businesses, and I’m the founder of Five Thirteen Media. Needless to say I am the busiest I have ever been but am the most fulfilled I have ever been.
Launching Proverbs 31 Creatives was a huge step of faith with the Lord even launching the show. Now the next step of this vision is Five Thirteen Media. There has been multiple podcast networks/media companies come before us. I have the utmost respect for what has already been built but I believe God is about to disrupt this industry. In a world over flooded with content, we want to bring God given truth to the media industry. Five Thirteen Media is based on Matthew 5:13. Salt changes the environment it comes in contact with. Christians are called to be salty. Media should be no different.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
My relationship with Jesus. I can honestly say I was so lost without Him. I’ve learned my true identity in Him as a daughter of the King. I know I’m loved, chosen and created with purpose. Everything I do, acknowledges Him.
What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
Trying and failing at multiple businesses really have taken a toll on me. I’ve tried different network marketing businesses, ventured into social media management, launched an etsy store with my own designs. All of these I loved doing but they either weren’t a good fit, I got burnt out, or tried to do things in my own strength/wisdom instead of inviting the Holy Spirit into the business venture.
Because of these failures, I dealt with a lot of insecurity, hopelessness, and worthiness. Thank you to Jesus and my life coach for helping me work through these. Absolutely a good cry and vent session with my sister or a friend is healing as well.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
A project I’m deeply committed to is building a space for Christian voices to amplify Biblical truth. Five Thirteen Media is so much bigger than myself. I know it won’t happen overnight but I’m in it for the long haul. My hope, no matter how long it takes, is that others get the opportunities to shine their light and steward their gift well.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What will you regret not doing?
Not telling more people about Jesus. I battled alcoholism, depression, anxiety, in the new age occult, I contemplated suicide when I was at my lowest and Jesus super naturally met me at a picnic table. He has mended my broken heart and picked me up from the rubble when I couldn’t stand myself. He is the missing piece/peace people are looking for.
