One of the core building blocks of success is self-discipline. So many of the other traits that are essential to success trace their way back to discipline and so we asked some of the hardest working and most disciplined folks we know to talk to us about how they developed their self-discipline.

I think that all self-discipline comes fundamentally from a struggle between fear of obscurity and desire for success on the one hand, versus a natural tendencay that all of us have to hoping that things will just work out in the end.
After a while, you start to learn that the success you want is not going to come, and that you have to put in a lot of effort and sacrifice to get there – especially once you get sick of dreaming and seeing others get ahead.

I was forced to learn discipline from a young age, growing up with a single Mum there were certain rules we had to apply in our daily life to make the most out of it. My mum only gave me one rule my whole life & thinking of it in my age now, I think it was one of the greatest things she could have done… definitely could have also backfired haha but with the rule “you can do what you want, I just don`t want to come somewhere to pick you up or have somebody call me that you’re in trouble!” Read more>>
