Christi Workman’s Stories, Lessons & Insights

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Christi Workman. Check out our conversation below.

Hi Christi, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: Who are you learning from right now?
Dolores Cannon (1931 – 2014), American author, hypnotherapist, and publisher. She was the leader of the New Age movement. Dolores Cannon specialized in past life regression for over 50 years. Her journey in this field began in the 1960’s devolping the Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique™ (QHHT®), followed by her teaching the technique in 2002 throught the Quantum Healing Hypnosis Academy (QHHA). Her daughter Julia Cannon carries on her mothers legacy through the academy.

Dolores appeared in my life last year, 2024. I become certified as a level 1 practitioner, May 4, 2025. And, I am currently taking Level 2.

It is the most exciting thing I have every had the privilege of experiencing.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
From the raw energy of punk rock stages to the depth of spiritual exploration, I have always followed
a path that embraces the unconventional. After years of running a recording studio and being
immersed in the punk scene, I sold the studio and found myself drawn to the world of horror
conventions, where I connected with an amazing community. But throughout it all, I felt a deeper
calling-a need to heal and help others transform.

That is when I found the powerful world of Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT), and it
sparked a journey of self-discovery. As I explored ancient wisdom and holistic healing, I knew I
wanted to merge fitness with this new understanding of the mind-body connection. This led me to
create Goth Yoga-a practice that blends the mysterious, the spooky, and the calming to help people
connect with their true selves.

Through Goth Yoga, I offer classes and products like candles and oils designed to guide you on
your own journey of transformation. I am here to help you let go of negative energies and raise your
consciousness, whether through a calming yoga session, a deep hypnosis experience, or a ritual
with one of my hand-crafted creations.

I believe in embracing both the dark and the light to unlock our full potential.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who taught you the most about work?
Jack Berzinski, my dad taught me the most about work. While both my parents worked hard away from home, my dad worked hard at home. Some of my first memories of him are from 1967. We lived in West University in Houston. He did all these cool things like build a little house for my older sister, Viola and I. It had a full kid-sized kitchen. He also buit a Model A in our garage. In addition to all of that he was a Country & Western singer.

We moved to Normangee, Tx in the 70’s. From city folk to the woods. I hear the Green Acres song playing in my head. There we had a farm, full vegetable garden, chickens, cows, a horse, and an awnry mule. We lived country. My dad did all of this, held a job and taught us how to farm, cook and clean.

Not only did I learn many valuble tools to life and work ethics, it has made me a very independent woman.

What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
This is a great question. My most defining wound is abandonment. Healing from this trauma and breaking free from the insecurity I felt brought on by these events has taken a very long time. It has only been in the last couple of years that I decided it is time to trust myself and take care of my own needs. I have said goodbye to my past and literally moved. I moved to San Antonio, Tejas. Here is where Dolores Cannons work appeared before me, paving a new way of looking at my life on this planet, at this time. I have restructured my business model and offerings, incorporating QHHT®| Movement |Merch under one platform, “Goth Yoga”. Doing this not only simplifies my workflow and social media platforms. This in turn will provide a little more me time and self care.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
The public version of me is the real deal. I am spooky and zen. The only time my public version was different is when I was the singer for, StinkerBell (1990 – 1997). My persona was a bit risqué due to the content of some of the songs. None of which were written by me. I favored the horror side of repertoire. Many genres were given to us, my favorite being, “Texas Horror Punk”.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What will you regret not doing?
There are not many things I have not done or opportunities that I havent taken. I am very adventurous. When I want to do something, I usually do it. I still have time to do the one thing I have always wanted. And that, is to live on, or near the ocean. Preferably in a old victorian style home. I love the mediterean bodies of water the most. I know its a contrast but hey, it blends the spooky with the zen. I believe there might still be a beachouse in my future. This would be the one thing I would regret not doing.
