It’s a cocktail of self-esteem issues, and having self-discipline modeled to me at a young age by my parents. Both who are self-proclaimed perfectionists. They taught me to invest. I’ve often been asked this question in many ways. For me, discipline is the daily expression of passion. Weather you have a specific goal or just a vague idea of a dream, it is mostly up to us to work our lives around that passion. And if we keep on doing/working/learning, we’ll move forward on that path-less journey.  Read more>>

I used to experience discipline and self-discipline as rather oppressive concepts, closely tied with rigor, obedience and of course hefty punishment when willpower inevitably faltered, causing the loss of said discipline. So I learned to really rely on myself and my ability to get things done. I’m very much a stickler for time management, and because of that, I can stay on top of projects, and I allow myself plenty of time to get things done. I take a lot of pride in my work–I don’t want to let down myself or other people. Read more>>
