Over the years we’ve had the good fortunate of speaking with thousands of successful entrepreneurs, artists and creatives. Some are happy, some are not. The happy ones almost always had a strong sense of purpose and so we are very focused on trying to help our community members and audience find their purpose. This series is our attempt to create more dialogue around finding your purpose.

I think I found my purpose when I realized doing what makes me happy is the most fulfilling path to travel. I love being creative and productive, but I think it’s important to remember that with the tiny amount of time we’re here on earth, not taking ourselves too seriously is of paramount importance. Because at the end of the day, I believe a life well lived will always be more valuable than titles and material things. Read more>>

I have felt a very close relationship to my purpose ever since I can remember. The feeling exists as an intrinsic deep knowing; something like the sound of the bodies heart beat itself. Knowing that I was sent here to spread healing and light through all that I do, to share myself in generosity and timelessness through sound. Read more>>

I feel we all have something good to share in the world, even if you are conscious about it or not, even if you’re doing it purposely or not. Just by being there, working hard to achieve your goals, you are already an example from those around you. Read more>>

I grew my purpose out of the darkest moments of my life. The parts that broke me down, that depleted me, that were set out to end my life, ended up being the same parts that allowed me the opportunity to find the light. My experiences really are the foundation through which I am growing my business and my offering to the world. It is an act of service in efforts to help heal the world a little bit every day. I think, listening to music, inspires me to share my message with the world. I draw a lot of inspiration from a lot of sources, and seeing what other people have gone through . How they come out alive with their own success stories of overcoming adversity, makes me think I can offer some hope and inspiration through my music as well. Plus, it’s kinda like therapy, it helps me get stuff off my chest and sing my songs. Read more>>

I don’t know if one finds purpose. I would almost argue that it finds you. What I would say is that being open to learning and new things allows you to be exposed to a lot of different experiences in life. I think it gives you perspective and I think it’s important to “taste” and see what you are good at and what you are passionate about, and just move toward that. I have felt that I have had a lot of different purposes on my journey. However, the more I work towards moving forward and being open to new ideas, what I really think I’m here for starts to become more and more clear. Read more>>

I found my purpose through reflection and prayer. I spent 6 years across four different prisons in Georgia. Upon my release, I struggled financially and could not get a job that paid more than $12/hr. I knew I had to take care of my family and myself, I reflected on what I liked to do, what I would want to do and, something that would be lucrative. Read more>>

After years of working in marketing for major corporations, I branched out to create my own company and in the process realized how little there was in terms of services, support, and community for women. I knew I wanted to change that. I founded WE Inc. with a profound mission to be a catalyst for empowering women to step boldly into the spotlight, get visible (maybe for the first time in their lives), grow their businesses, and turn their passions into tangible profits. It is a fascinating question. I have finished my bachelor’s degree in logistics, but I have never worked in Logistics. Then I finished make-up artist and stylist courses, worked a bit in Latvia and then moved to Malta. In Malta, I started to work as a Hairdresser assistant. I remember myself after a long work day sitting next to the sea and thinking exactly about this question… What is my purpose and what do I want to do? I didn’t find any answers back then, but a question was asked. Read more>>

In our culture, we often grow up with the narrative that we must find and pursue our purpose. The purpose is singular and is worthy of one’s full attention and life’s direction. To let distractions or obstacles keep you from your purpose is unacceptable. These cultural norms put purpose as the ultimate in life. Read more>>

I found my purpose through lots of prayer, resilience, and self reflection. It took me a long time to discover my purpose. For many years I was really depressed about this, because it felt like it came so natural and easily to others. But it was something that I was struggling with. Honestly, I was constantly overthinking my purpose. But I came to notice that my purpose was what came so naturally to me. Which was, encouraging and helping women see themselves the way God seems them through Esthetics. Read more>>

I started out in my young teens. My oldest brother, who’s 9 years older, was preparing a slideshow for my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary. Despite our brotherly bickering and fighting, he asked if I wanted to learn. I helped him edit the video when I was 14. A few years later, the summer before my senior year of high school, he was diagnosed with cancer. Soft tissue sarcoma. Read more>>

The songs come in whispers early in the morning, or while driving, or at other odd times. Kind of like a tap on the shoulder or the ear. They come from some place I don’t understand but somehow feels like home. I often wonder if I’m the sculptor of some precious raw material or the excavator of some timeless form that exists outside of me. Read more>>

Back in my mid-twenties, I first took the CliftonStrengths assessment where it identifies your top 5 strengths. My number one strength, which has shown up number one the other additional two times I’ve taken the assessment over the last decade, was Belief. I spent many years of my life feeling sick. I lived daily with chronic, vague symptoms without answers. All of my lab work and testing came back “normal”, but there is nothing normal about living day in and day out with persistent symptoms – even if our culture says its the norm. I believed I could live a life that felt full, present, fulfilled, energized, and happy – and I never gave up on that desire and belief. Read more>>

We both come from a classical music background, but we have always felt a call to move beyond the classical “canon” of music and to look for ways to do new things. Wesley grew up playing in Portuguese Bands in his community of Portuguese immigrants in Canada, and Jaxon has lived in Spain studying Flamenco for years now, so it felt natural to start incorporating elements of Folk music that were important to us and work on the instruments we play. I think purpose is an ever-evolving aspect of life. Every day, we actualize our experience and create our context, so our purpose constantly unfolds. I go where the wind takes me and not in a lackadaisical see what happens kind of way; as I grow more conscious, I’m more willing to take opportunities because I’ve considered the possibilities. I have to be courageous and ready to take chances and gain experiences that will change my trajectory, my purpose, and myself. Read more>>

My journey began with self-reflection and considering what values, interests, and passions resonate with me. I had to think about my past experiences and the aspects of life that brought me joy and fulfillment. Assessing my desires and values was a crucial first step in finding my purposeful path. Of course, I was intrigued by the miracle of my ability to birth two incredible daughters and having a fantastic support system and a birth team that ensured nothing was left short of caring for myself and my children, which rooted my deep-seated passion for supporting others. I think it is every person’s goal in life to find their purpose in life. The discovery of my purpose evolved from a long series of events from birth to my early 40’s. As a pelvic floor physical therapist, it’s essential to stay connected to my purpose which has evolved over time. Before PT school, I had never heard of pelvic floor therapy. In the rhythmic tapestry of my journey, I set out with a profound mission—to guide individuals through a transformative odyssey, sculpting their destinies with a renewed mindset.
