Truthfully, what has shaped my decision-making process has shifted over the years. Admittedly, for years my process was rooted in over-achieving and the need to “keep moving”. However, with age comes wisdom, acceptance of self, and refinement of skill sets. That said, learning “how” to think was something that was impressed upon me from an early age. “Through my experience working in the hospitality industry, specifically in event coordination, I’ve learned to make calculated decisions dependent on the circumstances surrounding the situations that may arise at any given time. When I first started curating events, making quick decisions for a small room, such as 150-200 person event, wasn’t very difficult since our volume wasn’t as high – you wouldn’t necessarily feel any immense pressure.
